We were thinking about getting Pink Ladies Jackets for the girls and T-Bird Jacket for the blokes and I'm gonna have a Rubiks Cube Birthday Cake but would love some more ideas.

For a true 80's party don't forget the cheese and pineapple on sticks stuck on to an upturned grapefruit! Check out old flea markets and car boots sales for hideous 80's style crockery and glasses and really go to town!! God wish I was going! i made need to do something similar for my birthday!!! Love the rubiks Cube cake idea! Ooh see if you can get Deeley Boppers for everyone to wear and leg warmers!

Maybe Wonder Woman, Batman, Robin, Dukes of Hazzard ie/ 70's tv shows.
Maybe let everyone come as something from the past that they want to instead of all girls as Pink Ladies and all boys in T-bird jackets? It would be a great ice breaker if you are all not wearing the same and seeing what people turn up as.
Whatever you decide to do, have a fantastic birthday, and enjoy every minute.

This sounds like an 80's Party.
Serve popular drinks of the time, as well as snack food, for instance have a bowl full of cracker jacks and put prizes in it.

Get a plastic swimming pool full of coloured balls and then it won't hurt when you all fall over legless !!!!!!!
Foam party is good if it's not your house.
Coloured afro wigs and high heels are always a giggle.

oh my god that sounds like so much fun!!!!!!! ok um so i see your going 50's, so make a mix cd/playlist for the party, and umm maybe watch an old movie, maybe even a scary one(hello there are guys to "protect" you) um you can have give out gel for the guys and ribbins for the girls. ya
