While vacationing in Mexico we were given a dish of chicken, black beans, rice and a flour tortilla shell.
The chicken recipe is what I am interested in. I am not too sure what the spice was called, but it is red in colour and comes from a tree in the area, we were in the Yucatan. I believe it was either Annatto, or Achiote....I do not recall.
I am hoping someone can help me figure out the recipe, as I would like to try this at home. The chicken seemed to be a 'pulled' chicken recipe mixed in a broth with the spices.

Any information would be great, thanks!

I drink a huge soy milk and coffee every morning and i'm just wondering if that does less staining on the teeth, than a regular coffee, since its mixed, and not hot.
i never seem to feel that 'teeth fuzz' buildup.

Non-vegs always ask me why I am a vegetarian (in a mocking tone) and say that it is stupid and there is no way to help the animals. They don't ever give me a chance to even answer. Why do people do this and what is a good answer to tell people (other than for the animals.)

I'm italian but now I live in NYC..... when I lived in Italy I ate ever "Lasagne al ragù" and "Pasta al pesto o tfofie al pesto"

I just kinda thought this up but serisoly dont take this one the wrong way! Now I know vegitarions just dont eat fruit and vegtiables but when you eat the vegtables like with meat dont you kill the plants and take away there life? Since they are living things too? In a question I anwsered here, About how if humans didnt kill some animals for like there meat but if we didnt there species would die from starvation because they would eat all the plants ect. i have beef, pork and chicken fillets.

i also have different pasta and rice. also carrots, onion, cherry tomatoes.

ive gone out and bought lots of herbs and spice too.

My whole life I have had little white half moons in my nails/nail plates. I just read that it can be caused by zinc deficency. What foods have a lot of zinc in it?

Please don't say take a multi vitamin.
