Applesauce as an egg substitute?

I am trying to make a plain yellow cake..the mix is in the box..I was told I could use applesauce to substitute eggs...does anybody know how much applesauce to use?

How can I cook chicken so that it isn't a rubbery texture?

Everytime I bake chicken it has a rubbery consistency. How can I cook it so that its juicy and almost falls apart on the bone? Kind of like how turkey is when it is roasted. I don't want to fry it.

Also, I have some teriyaki chicken breasts that came in individual packages. (each piece). I don't know if it is just to keep the flavor in or if I can actually boil the chicken in the packages. Am I supposed to take the chicken out of the package or can it be boiled in the packages??

Where can I get chocolate soda (preferably not diet)?

When I was a kid we used to get soda from our grocery store that came in both "Chocolate" and "Cherry Chocolate" flavors. I cant remember the brand name. That grocery store went out of business years ago and we havent been able to find it since. I'd say it was about 15 years ago. I found some on the internet from Canfields but they only sell it in diet. I dont think this was the brand name anyway of this stuff. I really want to get some as a gift for my mom as it will bring back many memories for us, but she really doesnt like diet soda. Has anyone seen any soda like this, non-diet? If I just knew the brand name I could probably buy it on the internet. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Does anyone know the best way to reheat tamales? Micro is not a good way for me. Any other suggestions?

BBQ Ribs in a Crockpot???

Is it possible to cook ribs in a crockpot? I'd love to have them sometime ready to eat as soon as I get home from work but I worry that the sauce would dry out. Any ideas on how to keep the ribs moist? Should I put sauce on them right away? or wait til I get home. Also what are good side dishes to serve with ribs??

Any recipes similar to ruth chris steakhouse, 4 steaks? i heard they use butter on steaks when broiling?

I know Ruth Chris Steakhouse uses butter when cooking their steaks and that they broil them but would they grille or sear in a skillet first? I love the way their steaks taste and have tried to make them myself but the results are so so, i would like some more info please or any of your own ideas.

Is the quicklime in the self heating drinks safe?

In the self heating drinks (cocoa, coffee, etc) there is quicklime that is used to "self" heat the product. If this quicklime should happen to leak into the drink would it be harmful? My dog loves to chew on things. What happens if she gets a hold of one of these drinks and eats the quicklime? Will it harm her? Is it harmful if the can just leaks out the quicklime and gets on the skin? Sorry for so many questions at once but if anyone knows these answers I would love to hear them. Thank you.
