Blueberries contain high levels of antioxidants. Antioxidants reduce the levels of oxidation in your cells. Oxidation damages cells. A certain type of oxidation (LDL) is associated with cardiovascular disease.

So, antioxidants are good for many systems in the body including the cardiovascular system.

Blueberries are very high in antioxidants which have been proven beneficial for detoxing the body. As for dirrect effect on the cardiovascular system, there's no info.

I work for a cardiologist & he says that they help clean out your blood vessels so you lower your chance of having a blocked artery or having a heart attack.....Plus they taste great too!!
