Ok, this isnt a question, but an informative answer. This is the best trick to making Chicken and dumplings!!
For the normal chicken broth: chicken stock, onions, cream of chicken soup, garlic salt, chicken boulon(sp?), and of course a whole chicken. The trick is to adress your taste pallet. I personally like high sodium foods and the more fatty and flavorful the better.
--Now the best part about the chicken and dumplings, is the dumplings right?.. Just buy cheap ole' biscuits from the store. Tear them in little pieces and roll into small balls. Drop them in the water once the water is BOILING! it only works when the water is boiling!

There ya go... I pwomise you'll Love it!

I want the one found in American Chinese restaurants, the one that is basically fried chicken with a brown gravy and topped with nuts. I have been living in Japan for 8 years and I want what I know is NOT authentic Chinese food; rather it is something that I ate for years and just enjoyed. Anyone worked in an American Chinese restaurant out there? Please tell me what I need to do to make it at home. I am pretty handy in the kitchen, and living in Japan there's no end to Asian markets, so I am ready to try.

I've recently found out that the whole artificial sweetener is not good for you, so good-bye diet soda & those kool-aid type mixes.

I need a drink though. I'm thinking about trying a soda from whole foods. Still a little bit more calories/sugars I want, but it's not as bad as a real soda.

What are some other options, low calories, not bad for you?

Yes, I love cows too, and have lots of things in my apartment with a cow pattern! :)

And no, I'm not South Asian. In fact, I was born in Argentina (and lived in many other countries; in fact, I live in Canada now) and my ancestry is a mix of Native American, Spaniard, German, Lebanese, Chinese (from Hong Kong) and African (Black).

Suddenly, there are no cans on the grocery store shelves saying that bones are included. I also noticed today that the same is true for most sardine cans: "skinless, boneless".

I froze 2 packages of ground sirloin, the same size & weight, same dates & from the same store, & both bought on the same day (about 2 weeks ago) today I pulled them out to get ready to make spaghetti. One was still bright red & the other looks brown. No puncture holes that maybe caused air to get in. What happened? Is the brownish one ok? I didn't freeze them right away. Maybe about 2 days later cuz I couldn't get to using them.

How can it have a partially hydrogenated oil in it but be trans fat free? I am talking about skippy peanut butter...which ive known for years had trans fats - so I eat the natural kind --- but I've noticed this with a lot of the labeling. Things will have partial hydrogenates in them but they will claim 0g trans fats. What's the story here?
