Captain Morgan is 35% (70 proof).

Unflavored vodka is almost always 40% (80 proof) unless the bottle says it is stronger. Smirnoff comes in 80, 90 and 100 proof. As far as I've seen, gray goose comes in flavors but not different strengths.

The alcohol content will be listed somewhere on the bottle.

It's 40% alcohol. But, sometimes like with spiced or flavoured hard liquor, it is between 32% and 37%.

The same ..unless it's a flavored vodka. The difference is small. But, be safe.
