I've recently found out that the whole artificial sweetener is not good for you, so good-bye diet soda & those kool-aid type mixes.

I need a drink though. I'm thinking about trying a soda from whole foods. Still a little bit more calories/sugars I want, but it's not as bad as a real soda.

What are some other options, low calories, not bad for you?

Water with lemons/cucumbers/limes, etc. Water with fruit or veggies is very refreshing and no calories.

Tetley English Breakfast tea is such a nice tea it doesn't even need sweetener (and for me to be able to drink tea without sweetener that's "something" because unsweetened tea usually makes me kind of sick).

Spring water with just a tiny bit of fruit juice (orange is good) to give it some flavor (an "inch" of juice or less in five or six inches of water).

Try to find diet soda with splenda. It's not a lab "made" chemical it's processed from sugar. If you just want to avoid sweeteners all together try iced tea made with "Good Earth" tea it has a sweet cinnamon flavor. I use 2 Good Earth bags and 4 Lipton (regular) tea bag to 2 qts of cold water and bring it to a boil on the stove. Once it boils I turn it off and let it sit for 2 or 3 min. This makes a really strong tea, but once you pour it into a pitcher full of ice it dilutes down perfectly.
Something else you can try is buy soda water and use it to mix with your fav juice. My 6yo loves this with pink lemonade. He thinks he's getting soda and I don't have to worry about caffeine.
