On cold nights i like to make Hot chocolate, i make mine with hot milk. I know most people make there's with hot water, dont like it that way.
Then i like to top it off with cool wirp and chocolate sprinkle's ( if i have them). How do you drink yours?

I believe that making pumpking pie is an excercise in mediocrity, and here is why. The best pumpkin pie you have ever had, isn't that much better than the worst pumpkin pie you have ever had. It is a lackluster treat, prepared easily by anyone who can open a can. Is pumpkin pie just another excuse to eat NUTMEG?

I need some flour that is more coarse than regular flour but not as course as course flour... It's for Rohliky, Czech rolls, so I'm assuming it's some sort of "European specialty" flour. What would be an American equivalent, or what would it be called?

Thanks!

I know gelatin's made by boiling hooves/hides/bones of various animals. But a friend of mine said that some gelatin is also plant-based. Is that even possible?

Well, here's the deal. I want to surprise my mom and dad with breakfast in bed tomorrow! Problem is, I'm not a great cook, lol, and I'm so used to having stuff prepared for me, that I am afraid I will mess something up! :( This is the menu so far:

Apple Crumble
Biscuits (fresh and homemade!)
French Toast and
Some sorta egg dish

My question is, will this recipe work (FYI...I totally and completely just made this up from the top of my head):

If I take the same dough from the biscuits and put scramlbled eggs inside it (like the dough will be in a fancy cup shape) will the eggs burn, and will the meal taste good overall? What if I put raw eggs inside the cup shaped dough balls?

Thanks...oh and any other enticing recipes (that are easy) are welcome as well.

This morning as I was cracking walnuts, I noticed an insignia individually stamped in red ink on the shell of each walnut. It said "Diamond" and had a little design underneath..what does this mean and/or signify? My thoughts were that it could be the name of the farm that produced them, the name of the company, or even the varietal of walnut...thoughts?

I have made biscuits so many times that I joked to my mother, even if I were in a coma, I could still make them reflexively if I had the ingredients in front of me. They are one of my favorite breads. One problem that keeps cropping up, though, is that my biscuits are always tough, crisper and harder in texture that I'd like, I want them to be soft and buttery and flaky. What can I do to fix this problem? Am I working the dough too much or not adding enough butter or overbaking them? Help needed from experienced biscuit bakers.

I make and give as gifts Kaluha and my own spice mixture. My friends and family love it but I have run out of bottles and places to purchase them. Online shipping is 1/2 the cost of the product. Does anyone know where I can purchase a few cases of wine bottles and a few cases of spice jars?

I'm trying to supply the alcohol myself because the caterer we are using is asking ALOT of money per person. Any ideas of where I could find the answers? It's for about 150 people! Thanks!
