I believe that making pumpking pie is an excercise in mediocrity, and here is why. The best pumpkin pie you have ever had, isn't that much better than the worst pumpkin pie you have ever had. It is a lackluster treat, prepared easily by anyone who can open a can. Is pumpkin pie just another excuse to eat NUTMEG?

If you have to ask that question, then you haven't had good pumpkin pie.

My husband is from Europe, never had pie before he moved here, and he LOVES pumpkin pie. I think the only pie he likes more is French Silk.

Au contrare - Pumpkin Pie is a tribute to American ingenuity. Other countries had already done apples, cherries, etc. We got pumpkins. Actually, there are some great ways to do pumpkin pie. Here is a good one:

There is a difference. That is what I believe. I've had really good pumpkin pie and I've had bad. It's a matter of taste, taste buds that is.

Good grief! Go ahead and eat your Belgian souffle', or French Croissant, or Spanish Flan, or whatever, and pass the pie over here! What, do you have a personal vendetta against custard pies, or something?

Get this person some chocolate, and quick!
