Please be careful if you are planning to buy cashmere for
Christmas, because it is now made out of polyester.

Real cashmere is expensive and comes from a certain kind of
goat or mountain sheep. There is also a cashmere now made
from angora rabbit or llama.

Cashmere is from the undercoat of goats from high plains Mongolia. I hope that I have been of some help.

its goat hair -- they comb the goat they don't kill it so its vegan friendly. most cashmere on the current market is actually fine wool from just about any source -- not just cashmere goats. so chances are if you got it at walmart for 20 bucks its not cashmere goat cashmere.
