Well, here's the deal. I want to surprise my mom and dad with breakfast in bed tomorrow! Problem is, I'm not a great cook, lol, and I'm so used to having stuff prepared for me, that I am afraid I will mess something up! :( This is the menu so far:
Apple Crumble
Biscuits (fresh and homemade!)
French Toast and
Some sorta egg dish
My question is, will this recipe work (FYI...I totally and completely just made this up from the top of my head):
If I take the same dough from the biscuits and put scramlbled eggs inside it (like the dough will be in a fancy cup shape) will the eggs burn, and will the meal taste good overall? What if I put raw eggs inside the cup shaped dough balls?
Thanks...oh and any other enticing recipes (that are easy) are welcome as well.

forget the Apple Crumble and make a fruit salad. Biscuits are easy if you have Bisquick, the receipies are on the back of the box. What about bacon? Gotta have bacon. Fresh orange juice, coffee?

Man, I wish you were my child! That's so sweet of you to fix breakfast for your folks.
The eggs will probably turn rubbery or dry out in the time that it would take to bake the biscuit dough. You could line custard cups with the dough, bake it for about five minutes, then put in the egg and bake it until set. However, the biscuits would probably be soggy on the bottom.
Or you could try this egg dish. This is a really easy casserole that can be fixed tonight, then set in the fridge and baked tomorrow.
Line the bottom of a rectangular baking dish with slices of buttered bread, crusts removed and butter side down. Sprinkle the bread with some grated cheese (Cheddar or Swiss work well) and some cooked, crumbled sausage, bacon, or diced ham. You can also add a few sliced mushrooms, some green or red pepper, and a little chopped onion.
Blend five eggs, three tablespoons of milk, a dash of salt and pepper, and a teaspoon of wet mustard together. Pour over the bread, then refrigerate for 4 hours or more.
Cook at 350 degrees until done -- 30 to 40 minutes is about average. Cut into squares and serve.
Good luck with breakfast. . .I know your parents will appreciate your thoughtfulness!

i made a big breakfast for my family the other day and i am new to cooking on my own without step by step instructions myself. I used those pillsbury dough biscuits but it should work with homemade type as well. I peeled cut and boiled about 4 medium brown potatoes. Then i placed the biscuit dough on the bottom of a greased glass casserole dish. I used a round one but it wouldn't really matter. Then i scrambled 6 eggs with a little bit of milk in a bowl and poured some of it over the biscuits. I also had cooked up some bacon and crumbled it over the dough and eggs. Then i layered some of the boiled potato pieces over the top..then more egg...then more bacon..more potato..the rest of the egg and bacon and then placed it all in the oven at 400 ...i left it about 20 minutes then sprinkled cheese over the top and put it back in for about 15 more minutes...After it was done i sliced it on plates and added fruit salad on the side...it was delicous everyone LOVED it and it was really easy!!

French toast is good, it is easy and fast! Biscuits are delicious, especially homemade!! As for eggs, try to make scrambled with cheese in it, those are always good! Just leave the eggs and biscuits seperate. As for the apple crumble, it would be good too, but it is time consuming I think! It is very nice that you want to do this for your mom and dad! Good luck! Oh, and you could do pancakes if you decide that French toast is not what you want to do! Have fun and Happy holidays!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes
"This is a great recipe that I found in my Grandma's recipe book. Judging from the weathered look of this recipe card, this was a family favorite."
Original recipe yield: 4 servings
PREP TIME 5 Min
COOK TIME 15 Min
READY IN 20 Min
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 1/4 cups milk
1 egg
3 tablespoons butter, melted ( = 45 gr )
DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.
Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.
Baked French Toast
"Baked French toast with apples and caramel sauce. The consistency of the finished recipe will be similar to bread pudding! A glass baking pan will help prevent the toast from sticking."
Original recipe yield: 18 pieces
INGREDIENTS
1 (1 pound) loaf French bread, sliced
6 eggs
1 1/2 cups skim milk
1/3 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
6 apple - peeled, cored and sliced
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 tablespoons white sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup margarine, melted
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup skim milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS
Cut bread into 1 1/2 inch thick slices and place in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking pan. In a large bowl, beat eggs with 1 1/2 cup skim milk, 1/3 cup white sugar, and 1 tablespoon vanilla. Pour egg mixture over bread slices.
Arrange apple slices on top of bread. Sprinkle cinnamon, nutmeg, and 2 tablespoons white sugar over apples. Cover, and refrigerate overnight.
In the morning: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Bake toast in preheated oven until golden brown, about 1 hour. Meanwhile, combine 1/2 cup white sugar, flour, and margarine. Stir in brown sugar, 1/2 cup skim milk, and 2 teaspoons vanilla in a small saucepan. Cook until thick. Serve French toast hot with warm sauce.

I wouldn't try that. What you can do is form the biscuit dough over the upside down part of a muffin tin. (Spray it with cooking spray first) Bake the biscuits and slide them off the muffin tins and you will have like a bread bowl. Fill them with scrambled eggs.
Good luck. What a nice gesture toward your parents.
