I'm under the impression that if you have some frozen bacon, thaw it in the microwave, cook a couple pieces and put the rest of the pack in the fridge, the rest will all quickly go bad because the microwave partially cooked them.

Because of this, whenever I thaw some bacon in the microwave, I fry up the whole pack. Unfortunately, there's so much that much of it often goes to waste.

Am I doing things right? Can I just take the thawed pack and put it in the fridge without worries?

OK, I admit, this is VERY embaressing. I'm 40 years old and have never made hard boiled eggs before. (I'm a guy, can you guess?) I am looking for a drink cooler that slips over a can to keep the drink cold. I found a pair of them years ago at TJ Maxx and they had some sort of liquid inside that you could freeze and keep reusing. I bought them for my Dad and he used them for about 5 years until they fell apart. Every year for X-mas he asks me for them and I have never seen them again. Help!!!
