One time I had to eat fruit cake. My mother in law was passing it around her own recipe. Honestly I thought I was a goner. My mouth started watering excessively, I started sweating and whats worse no napkins were passed out with it. I know why she wanted to kill me and almost did. If it wasn't for a tall plant in corner Iam not sure what would have happened.By the way the plant started to loose it's leaves took a while to recover.

There's a trick to eating it. You have to slice it very very thin, then stick the slice in the microwave for about 15 seconds so it sweats the fruit juices into the cake portion, making it moist. It's pretty good that way, really!

Yes

If it's made right. It can be really good. My dad has made fruit cake every Christmas since the 60's. I know, we had plenty of them, he always gave them as gifts.

yes there are us few that do and I quite enjoy fruit cake, as my grand mother made them each year while she was alive so its kind of sentimental to me and a tradition
