i am going to be making a cake for a halloween block party..& i want to cover the bottom 2 layers in fondant (like i've seen on tv.) i'm only 14 but i am pretty creative and skilled.

1. do you thin fondant is easy to make and worth it?

2. do you think fondant is appripriate to use on this cake that will be sitting outside for about 3 hours(warm temp.)??

3. would the kids like it and if the peel it off is there going to be forsting underneath?

I live in Virginia Beach, VA... and my question is... I am thinking about renting a table at a church " flea market" in the next two weeks, and was curious if to help raise some money, if I could bake homemade pies, cakes, fudge and whatnot and sell it without a license? In some states i know you dont have to because its less than 12 times a year... some states it doesnt matter... Please help!!!!!!

I went to someone's house recently...I don't know them too well, but while I was there, I had to store something in their fridge.

When I opened the fridge, it was completely empty...with the exception of about 5 dozen eggs, 5 gallon jugs of soy milk, 2 dozen gallons of bottled water, 2 pounds of cheese strings and just ONE small can of spaghettios. What up? Is this some kind of trendy diet that I am unaware of?

I have to do 40 cookies in the shape of a 3-tier wedding cake and I need a real good recipe for the cookie that won't make the cookies puff up but also make them not break while I am decorating on them. I tried the Wilton sugar cookie recipe but the cookies puffed up too much.

Since they are so cheap, do you think the produce are more mass produced and pesticide-ridden than average?

I'd say 8 years ago or so I had a recipe card for Five Cheese Lasagna. It was one of those get-new-recipe-cards-every-month type things. Anyway I lost the card long ago and have never been able to remember what cheeses I used. Does anyone have the recipe?

Do you have to have it on your person to be served? Can a bartender get into trouble if a customer doesn't have ID on them and you are serving them?
Bottom line, no ID no service?

Why is it called hot chocolate when you use water or milk? Its the wate and milk that you use and add 3-5% of chocolate powder and mix it with the water/milk,. So it should be called Hot water flavoured chocolate, or hot milk flavoured chocolate. Why hot chocolate? It ain't the chocolate thats hot, its the water/milk!
What do you think? Do you agree? If not, then why?
