What does eating something with freezer burn do? Can I just eat the ones without freezer burn? I'm not sure how long they have been in there no more than 2 months I don't think. Are they still okay to eat?

It's a US baking ingredient and I can't find it anywhere. I've tried vegetable suet, but it comes in grains whereas shortening is a very soft, squishy solid, similar to lard, but I don't want to use lard.

Thanks.

Why is there always mayo in ready-made sandwiches? Even when it shouldn't be there, like in a Ploughmans or Cheese n Pickle. Anyone think that it's just wrong? Why can't they just attach a sachet of mayo to the pack so you can add it if you like it?

My 35th b-day is Friday and I want a fantabulous menu to celebrate the occasion. Does anyone have any ideas? Please keep in mind that fantabulous doesn't have to mean expensive. Thank you in advance

I have a powder mix that is non-water soluble - it basically floats around in the water and eventually settles. Does anyone know of a household or commercial kitchen tool or device (preferably not tooo expensive!) that will pulverize dry solids / powders into a water soluble or at least an extremely fine powder?
