Is it true that spinach actually inhibits the asorption of iron, I never heread that before?

I am in the U.K and didn't hear about the spinach thing here so was it the U.S .. I haven't exactly had time for the papers recently though.

just to update I have now discovered that although spinach is high in Iron it is also high in oxalates which prevent iron absorption into the body. Nothings good for you anymore.

United States had the E. Coli outbreak and as far as I know Spinach is a great source of Iron...I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.

the outbreak is in the us, the spinach was from Salinas California. spinach is a great source of iron, so i do think it inhibits absorption of iron.

The ecoli breakout happened in America. California to be more specific. I'm not sure about the other thing...I've never heard that before either.

well they are saying the compnay is out of California, i dont think it has reached outside of the US.
