Singles & Dating - 15 November 2007

We have been together for 2 and a half years and every thing has been great. Then all of a sudden she decided to go back to school, no big deal. Now she graduated and isnt even looking for a job. She is going out with her friends which I rarely question and not worring about anything. I throw the usual get it together threats out and she is like ok but does nothing. We are looking for a new place right now and Im wondering if I should bring her with me or tell her its time to go.

Ah help my heart is broken! I dont want to hurt anymore! I broke up with my boyfriend about2weeks ago because he was hurting me with all his flirty ways and lies..he always wanted to drink all the time and when he drank would chat up other girls and hurt me more..and he had so many girl mates! he was alwys talking to girls and one being a girl he kissed when he was with his ex!! I was with him for 2years and I moved to another country for him but moved back alittle under 2weeks ago because i was an emotional wreck and just didnt know who i was anymore! ahhh i just want to get over him.. now that i have moved back home all i can think of is all the good things i dont have anymore and miss him so much! there were good things but with all his lieing i couldnt trust anymore and was so hurt i didnt no what else to do.I just want to no how to move on.please can anyone help my heart is broken it was the hardest thing ever getting on that plane and now im so hurt!!! Did i do the right thing!

i dont know why i really dont want to study anymore after i broke up with him , yes i still love him , but i dont know why i just feel taht i dont have any interest to study the degree
maybe it is because he wants me to get a degree , but right now , i feel that i dont have any reason to get one
yes i should better my future career , but i dont know why every time i think of him i will feel that he is still around me , i feel really bad

I am seeing a guy that I have known for years, but we only recently decided to date in the last two months. He lives very far from me, but we manage to see one another a two weekends a month. I already graduated and am planning to go to grad school, and he is graduating in May and then applying to jobs far away, abroad and at home. We have a close and intense connection and the love I'm starting to have for him feels real. The more I see him the harder it is to leave. Should I just enjoy this while it lasts, see him as much as I can and have the memories, or should I end it, because this relationship will probably end in 6 months? We haven't slept together yet, but I know when that happens my feelings for him will get even stronger. He has talked to me about the length of the relationship and he really cares for me and is unsure of the future. I want to follow my dreams and not let a guy get in the way of my plans, like him. What should I do?

I have been living with someone and found out that their ad is still active on a datting site. I confronted him about this and He says that he only wants to look, but cant you look with out having an active ad? It makes me feel that he is only holding on until he finds something better out there. I have a 3 year old son who calls him daddy, and this greatly hurts me. there is this boy who i don't like at all. he used to be friends until he started annoying me. He is not really annoying is just that i want my space and i do not want to talk to him anymore. I try avoiding him and he finds me. I purposely don't tell him where I am going. I know it's normal in a friendship to want to be around someone but i don't. I don't like him walking me to class. Sometimes i like walking to class alone. I know i am annoying person myself because i nag. I have tried being blunt to him and i have ignored him. I just don't like him for no reason. what should i do? I don't hate him. i'll still want to do nice things for him but i just want him to leave. Not to leave completely but stop always being there.

I went out with a friend the other night and over the night we just got really drunk (I didn't mean to it just hit me).

The next day someone from the club told me that I kissed another guy. I don't remember it at all, but my friend said I did briefly but it was no big deal.

I feel so ashamed, I have been with my boyfirend almost 2 years and never done anything like this. No one that he knows was there and there is pretty much no chance he will ever find out. but I feel so so terrible, should I tell him??

I was at the library and I overheard something going on. A guy just walked up to this girl and says (and I'm paraphrasing) "Excuse me, I saw and wanted to know what was your name?" After she gave him her name (and so readily, I might add) he complimented her freckles saying they were cute and left..So the question I guess you could say is it really that quick and easy to get a conversation started with a girl and get her name? Especially one you've never met before?.... obviously, as you might tell, I have no luck with women, so this little episode fascinated me.

So yeah what should we do. I like her, she likes me. We're dating but we're afraid to go any further. She has problems with trusting me, and I have problems with like...getting up and running. Like I'll like a person but if I feel like I like that person too much I'll get over the girl and end it. Her problem is that she doesn't trust easily no matter who it is. I know trust can't be given easily and it has to be worked at. Should I continue to just try to build up trust with her?

reposting for more answers.
me and my gf have been going out for 9 months, and we both love each other alot. she cheated on me once early in our relationship, but she confessd to me in tears and i forgave her.
(or at least i think i did) . i try to forgive her, but i dont kno if i have.
she still sees the guy around and talks to him after i told her that id prefer her not talking to him at all. she says she knows and will try to stop talking to him, but she still does ocassionally , and i think its natural for me to get pisd off bout that.
i dont get pisd off at her, but i do get in a pisd off or anoyed mood.
any advice? its been 6 months or so since it hapend, and i still get frustrated at times, if u guys think i should just forget bout it, tell me how cuz i dont kno.

he loved me last year, i didnt have feelings for him.
as soon as he started seeing another girl i realized how much i liked him and decided to tell him. he chose to stay with the other girl, afraid i'd hurt him again. recently hes been SAYING he has just realized hes still in love with me and that he cant continue his relationship with the other girl.
he wants me to do this: wait (ive already waited a month and a HALF) until hes so mean to her that SHE breaks up with him because he doesnt have the heart to break up with her. I'm so tired of waiting, if this guy's in love with me he'd just break up her NOW wouldnt he?!
(PS. i was devastated the day after we went out and he called me and said "...yeaaa ive decided to be with the other girl." it was TORTURE. and now im afraid he'll hurt me again. do i wait, or do i hit the road? i REALLY like this guy..)

Winterball's coming up, and I want to ask him. I don't know if he likes me or not (I have no reason to think he does, and no reason to think he doesn't!) If I asked, it would just be my way of letting him know I'm interested. The problem is, when we were discussing another dance with some friends, he said dances weren't really his thing.

If I already know that, should I bother asking him anyway, just to let him know I like him? If he says no, how do I react?

She gets boyfriends almost as soon as she dumps or is dumped by the last one. We both have feelings for each other (she is the sweetest woman) but I'm too affraid to make a move less I alienate her and I also can't seem to compete with the guys who are after her (they have muscles and sexual experience and I have very little of that). I also think she might think she is not good enough for me, she has had a hard life and I always seem to come across as some overgrown child (looking innocent that is) even though I'm 8 years older than her. It's kind of the girl from the wrong side of the tracks meets the guy who lived a overly sheltered life (well, more like a hermit really). Should I pursue her or is this doomed?
