i used to date a guy a while ago. i really liked him and he liked me. well the truth is, he really didn't have a good upbringing.he didn't finish high school and he always did wrong things in the streets to survive. everyone, especially my mom and friends thinks he's a loser. they don't think he has potential and can do anything for me.which truth of the matter is, he can't. im in college right now and they think i can do so much better. what im getting to is that im in love with him. i really care about him and want to see him do better.he has told me so many things about his past till i understand him.my mom always say negative things about him and she tries to encourage me to leave him alone.that's why we broke up in the beginning.he wants to b back wit me n i want to b back with him but will i b makin a fool out of myself. im 20,should i care what people are say about me n him.should my mom opinions matter? should i jus leave him alone and try n do better? what should i do?

I'm going to keep this as short as possible. My ex broke up with 2 months ago while still having feelings for me. We stayed friends and he talked to me everyday for a month. We still hung out at parties with our mutual friends. It got to a point where a couple times I said I couldnt handle this and I was miserable. Finally I made a comment about some girl he works with that knew about our break up before me that he cares more about her although I know deep down he doesnt care about her at all and he finds her very unattractive. Thats what set him off the cut contact with me.

Its been a month and up until that incident he really wanted to try to make us work. We just have a really good connection. We're the idiots who can sit around and do nothing and its fun. He always told me how happy I made him and he could be himself with me. I think I hurt him a lot with my comment. We havent talked in a month. I've been dating my bf for two years and our relationship is wonderful. We do have our problems, just like every couple does, no one is immune...but things are slowly getting better. But one problem is that my boyfriend feels insecure and has a hard time trusting me completely. He's been hurt and backstabbed in the past from people who meant the most to him and he just expects it from people now. I haven't done a thing to make him suspicious, I'm a very loyal person, but he does fear that my love of attention (which I prefer from him rather than anyone else) and my way of attracting a lot of guys might make me see better options and cheat on him or go behind his back. He is the one that I love, I don't want anyone else. There is no one that an replace him in my heart.
But how do I make him feel more secure? Is trust a thing that has to be shown over time or can I make it easier for him to feel secure with me? How have you overcame issues of trust?

every time i like a guy, he always ends up a jerk! or moves! 5th grade, i liked a guy and he ended up being a jerk, 6th grade i liked a guy names casey. I moved, and he didn't like me. 7th grade i moved to las vegas, i liked a guy named michael, he absolutely hates me, and this year, i like my neighbor. Isn't that horrible!? There is this girl at my job that I like and she is goin through a tough time bc of what happens in her previous relationships she has been in. she is depress about it, she is depressed by the fact that she thinks she did something wrong in the relationship and is tired of bein used then dumped. This might be a silly question, but lately if been attraction some crazy attention from guys and it's scaring me. First off, they come across as friendly people who are just interested in a convo or friendhship, and before i know it they are asking for more like sex or a relationship. They all said pretty much the same things like i am so different and that women like me are hard to find and that they want to hold on to me becasue they;ll regret loosing something so good. It's annoying because i am new to dating and romantic relationships and i just want to find someone special to love me but this is crazy.
