Singles & Dating - 20 August 2007

. I was fine until I met tis guy and we were together for about a year doing a(very) long distance relationship. Things seemed perfect and then he broke up all of a sudden and till today I dont know the reason. All I know is that he went quiet and stopped taking my calls and a few months later I surprisingly showed up in his town and found out he had fiance

Now someone else would've moved on in a month or two..
It's been more than 9 months and I can't get over him or what he did to me


I think less of myself and question both my looks and personality. I constantly feel that he "discovered" I'm not that attractive or nice?.. I NEED to be with someone and I can't find someone good, I want to love again but it never happened.
Is this normal? What do I do please if you had this experience or something similar help me :'(

My friends and I were drinking and I was dared to kiss one of my friends.
Later that night my friend said that I should kiss one of my other friends and I wanted to so he said that he would talk to him and see if he was interested.
Then I hung out with him a few days later and he was texting him telling him reasons NOT to hook with me... that I was a bad kisser and just ALL this stuff about me, I accidently read it and then the next day I was IMing him and he was asking me about the night and was like "so you didn't get to hookup with him", I don't know how to act around him now....


P.S. I know as a FACT he doesn't like me, trust me, he doesn't like girls like that...

So I have loved [Yes loved, i have known him 4 years] this guy for a year now. But basically he just graduated and is Alaska until tuesday. I have not talked to him since the beginning of June when he graduated and he told me simply HAVE to come over to his house and visit. But then he got a girlfriend. His first actual real girlfriend. And she's such a sweetheart.

But he doesn't know i even give a crap about him. I used to make fun of him in High School and i think it really hurt him, but we did share a locker and he did have 8 fricken coats there at one point in time.

Also he's going in the Navy in November.

Should I tell him my feelings, even though, he has a girlfriend and it wouldn't mean anything for six years?

i have been seeing my current bf & it is a new fresh relationship. we have grown 2gether& super close in a short time. it seems like we have been 2gether for @ least 5 or more yrs. since its new 2 us both, we are in touch & in tune & have a wndrfl relationship i treasure so much & he tells me how much he loves & cares.im not 1 2 sleep around & just hook up w/ anything. i have my standards & my morals. i dont just bang any1. we havent had sex yet. i kno we eventually will. im ready & willing, & when he asks i wont turn him down. hes very hesitant but the attraction is soo there b/w us! i find out the reason he doesn't want 2ask me 4 sex is b/c if he does he thinks he has a chance of losing me. he has said he never wants 2 take any chances & lose me 4 anything! so he refrains from asking. he thinks if he asks i will dump him. i wont i wouldnt. how can i advance this and show him that it would b ok 2 ask, & show him i would say yes & not give him a no or rejection.i adore him i love him!

Mary Poppins was travelling home, but due to worsening weather, she decided to stop at a hotel for the night. She approached the receptionist and asked for a room for the night.

"Certainly madam", he replied courteously.

"Is the restaurant open still?" inquired Mary.

"Sorry, no," came the reply, "but room service is available all night. Would you care to select something from this menu?"

Mary smiled and took the menu and perused it. "Hmm, I would like cauliflower cheese please," said Mary.

"Certainly madam," he replied.

"And can I have breakfast in bed?" asked Mary politely.

The receptionist nodded and smiled. "In that case, I would love a couple of poached eggs please," Mary mused.

After confirming the order, Mary signed in and went up to her room for the night. The night passed uneventfully and next morning Mary came down early to check out.

The same guy was still on the desk. "Morning madam...sleep well?" "Yes, thank you," Mary replied. "Food to your liking?"

"Well, I have to say the cauliflower cheese was exceptional, I don't think I have had better. Shame about the eggs tho....they really weren't that nice at all," replied Mary truthfully.

"Oh...well, perhaps you could contribute these thoughts to our Guest Comments Book. We are always looking to improve our service and would value your opinion," said the receptionist.

"Ok I will...thanks!" replied Mary....who then checked out, paused awhile, then scribbled a comment into the book. Waving, she left to continue her journey. Curious, the receptionist picked up the book to see the comment Mary had written. Here it is.........

his guy I met at a camp we worked at is two years older than me and it took us two months to finally tell each other we like other. We have talked a couple times since then and he seems like he is a little less open with me. We don't joke around as much and hes always worried that I'm mad he woke me up or if I'm injured like I was recently hes always telling me to hang up and sleep. Saw this girl walking pass me as we were crossing the stoplight...
and boy.. I just blew my chances with her if ever... asking her out on a date.

As she was on the other side of the stree and as I was on the opposite end. We waited for the 'walk' signal to blink. We did catch each other's eyes while away from each other... but upon walking towards each other.. she looked at me once... then looked down... but as we got closer... she looked again... and I smiled... and kept my gaze at her... she looked at me for a while... kept her gaze.. and then smiled back but the smile was more... on the mouth.. instead of the eyes.

AFter she smiled she moved her eyes sideways (no blinking) and continue to look forward as she walked across the street.

Is she interested or not?

Ok so me and my boyfriend hung out Friday and went to c a movie and we had a really good time. Then on Saturday I was sick so he came over to my house anyway and we hung out for a while. Okay so how do I put this out to you world?... I was out on a date that I kindda pushed myself to go to (been posponing it for ever and ever), but sweet guy, great person, yadi-da... I get there and I have absolutely NOTHING to say to this person. I feel awkward, tense and like an idiot.

That's until the waiter comes to the table and as I life my eyes to place my drink order, my eyes meet his and I feel this instant jolt of OMG, where have you been all my life?!

Needless to say I haven't said or done anything as it would have been disrespectful or inappropiate. Ended the night with my date on 'just friends' terms. Meanwhile I cannot take my mind off the poor waiter. I'd love to contact him - I just don't know what and hiow to do it?

Just wondering if anyone knows why men don't like to talk about the reasons for a breakup, even if they did the dumping? Maybe they don't want to hurt feelings (but it's worse to just not really know what happened). Seems to me like I would always express what was going on with me if my feelings changed, but they seem to just go awol.

I asked a question about abortion in which I raised the issue of one-night-stands. Then most of the answerers gave very ignorant responses saying like "do you have any morals at all? How can you talk about one-night-stands" and like "wait - this question is so disturbing on all proportions! How can you mention one-night-stands, they are wrong and immoral and deadly"

What are these people trying to tell me? Don't they realize that lots of people do have one-night-stands & casual sex without any issues or problems - so atleast can't the answerers give a decent response saying like "I personally thing one-night-stands are wrong" or like "people do it, but I think it is very immoral"?

Before trying to educate me saying that one-night-stands are immoral and deadly, why don't they do some research themselves before passing comments out of their ***es?
