I asked a question about abortion in which I raised the issue of one-night-stands. Then most of the answerers gave very ignorant responses saying like "do you have any morals at all? How can you talk about one-night-stands" and like "wait - this question is so disturbing on all proportions! How can you mention one-night-stands, they are wrong and immoral and deadly"

What are these people trying to tell me? Don't they realize that lots of people do have one-night-stands & casual sex without any issues or problems - so atleast can't the answerers give a decent response saying like "I personally thing one-night-stands are wrong" or like "people do it, but I think it is very immoral"?

Before trying to educate me saying that one-night-stands are immoral and deadly, why don't they do some research themselves before passing comments out of their ***es?

Most people here take advantage of being anonymous and acting like ignorant jerks without any consequences. But trust me, there are some people here who try their very best to answer questions without coming across like an ignorant idiot. Good luck!

There are a wide variety of people here at YA and some can be a little over the top. Some don't finish reading entirely or don't think out their answers. I guess you have to take the good with the bad and give the youngers and the in betweens a little leeway, social graces aren't really taught these days. Now, DON'T jump on me for that last statement, you know it's true. There are some here with devout moral standards and they do not tolerate anything out of the norm. They are the youngers and the in betweens who do not think before they answer.

So, as I said, you just have to take the good with the not so good. Most of us have basically good hearts and are trying. Some of us come up short sometimes, even me, so please don't condemn us for one instance.

Glad to have you with us, by the way!

Too many people have no life except in front of their computer.

You also have to consider the fact that many of the responders are teenagers that just asked a question like "how do I get him to like me".

Advice on subjects like abortion is easy to give, as long as it does not effect you. When it is you, or your daughter that is 18 or 19 and pregnant, just enrolled in college without supportive parents and no job skills, the answer becomes a little more difficult. Should someone be punished for the rest of their life for one mistake? Even most convicted murders get a second chance. Is a pregnant teenager worse than a murderer when her option is legal. Even if you don't agree with it.

Good question. I wish I had the answer to it. I think like a lot of people mentioned...lack of life experience could be a big part of it. Then there are the people that think you're going to hell for any kind of sin (of course, many times those that condemn something are secretly doing it themselves anyway).

Abortion isn't the right choice for me...I think that human life is very precious. However...the only person's life I can live is my own. I don't think I have the right to stop someone else from doing what they want to do with theirs.

Hope that helps

I'm not sure, but I know what you are talking about. People are just brainwashed into thinking that it is "immoral and wrong", which to some people it is and some people really don't care, but the people that answer like don't put themselves in those shoes first before answering, so they just do the automatic answer of what they want other people to hear or something. I hope that made sense.. lol

Well Ask, lots of the people on here are teenagers and don't know what life is all about yet. Most have never been anywhere or done anything without their parents and only have the view of their parents. Once they hit the real world I'm sure they will change there views, well maybe. And I'm sure they will have no clue what to do when they don't have there parent to fall back on.

I agree with you, but that is why we are all here, to ask questions and learn. I understand your disgust with some of the people on this site, but when you ask a question you are opening it to the world and you will receive a fare amount of ignorant answers. Also, some of the people on this site feel that it is their right to judge what others do, they fail to realize that only God has the right to judge us and no one else. Live Life to the Fullest and Enjoy Every Minute Of It.....

I'd say most people on here are 17 or younger and haven't had enough life experience to be able to answer questions like that and are just going by what their moms and dads have beat into their brain.

The sad thing is that people like that with no opinion of their own are the ones who are most likely do stupid things when they get older.

okay... let's put this in perspective... you're asking questions to people that can sign up with just a yahoo e-mail address... could be anyone at any age and any background.... if you're unwilling to take every answer in for what it is... then don't ask questions... to call them ignorant, you need to call yourself that too. To expect answers that all have something beyond an emotional or learned response, is ignorant... and if you want to talk about one night stands.. look at it this way... is it immoral, according to an american society, yes... is it deadly... possibly... since you are leaving yourself to have a higher risk of catching an incureable disease....

I personally agree with you one night stands are wrong. But that is just a personal view. But others on this might think differently about this.
