I just moved in with my girlfriend on Aug. 1st. Since then she has said it has been a hard transition for her because I have been working a lot of overtime at work(August is one of my busiest months) which I can understand. We were supposed to go to NYC in a few weeks to go to a friends birthday. Now I have to work on Sunday night and I would need to leave NYC early on Sun. She’s mad because she wanted to stay there all day and take our time coming back, once again she is mad at my work. She now doesn’t want to go at all and is planning on going to NYC with one of her girlfriends the weekend before. Ladies what is going on here?

This girl likes me, but has a boyfriend. She told me she's going to break up with him (cause he cheated on her), but she's having a hard time, and needs some time to "figure things out". I agreed to wait for her to sort her issues out- until she's ready to start a new relationship with me.

So- to avoid her getting too used to me, is ignoring her a good idea until she actually breaks up with her? I'm confused cause, 1) I don't want her to think I'm a jerk, and, 2) I don't want her to get tired of seeing me ignore her.

I've already been ignoring her for a week now- and when she tries to talk to me, I give short 'yes' or 'no' type answers... So in response to this, she seems to start ignoring me as well (avoiding eye contact when we walk pass each other). Am I handling this the right way?

I NEED SOME REAL ADVICE AND WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE THAT* My husband has cheated on me before but has now moved out of state with me away from everyone that we know and has vowed never to do it again. I believe he may be addicted to not just sex, but attention from other women. He is 23 and yes I know, probably to young to be married, but the facts are we are married and do not want to be divorced. I know that in his heart he truly does not want to cheat on me again, but I am starting to see him getting antsy and the wheels in his head are turning deciding what he wants to do. I know he has not cheated yet and that I can't make him not cheat on me again, but for the people who have thought about cheating on their spouse and either did it or didn't, what could your spouse have done to make you not take that next step into cheating?

Is it just me, or are you too tired of hearing that as a black woman you are dating your man because of "the shortage of black men"? I mean I could care less if there was an influx of black men, I still wouldn't date them. Last friday, i told my ex who I have remained friends with since we totally called everything quits that I sometimes wish we never would have dated so we could have remained the best friends we were b4 hand. I didn't feel we could ever go back to how we were b4 the relationship, which is what I want. Our friendship was incredible. She said she never regretted getting together, things happen for a reason, and only time will tell what it all means. I tried talking to her the next two nights and she wouldn't answer. Finally Sunday she asked if I regretted the relationship with her. I told her no, and explained again what I meant. She asked me how I felt and I told her she will always be my friend and big part of my life. She told me i was everything she was looking for in a person, but right now is not the time in her life. She said she misses us together from time to time and that she thinks of me more than friendship still at times. I want to know exactly what she is getting at?

I feel like I have just been destroyed 7 years and just like that it is now over. He says it is my fault that I smothered him. But I think I had the right to get angry I'm 27 he is 30 why did he need to go out with all single guys everyother weekend till 5 am? Sorry and I dont know this has just hut me so hard that I don't know what to do???? We known each other for a 1 1/2 now and have been dating for 3 months. He said when he first met me he told himself he was going to marry me. We talk about everything like whats going to happen when we get older alot of personal stuff and he tells me what people say about us and and he says when we are around 20 he wants to get married but he stills wants to see what is out there is what he says,what does he mean by that? we have the same interest and he always tells me he loves me and and that I'm pretty and that I'm not afraid of working and getting dirty and I'm not needy, whiney we do everything together go to church, work at the farm. Hes so sweet and he would never hurt me and he always feels bad if If he needs something and I get it for him when he didn't even ask for it. I've been dating this girl for a little over a week now, and finally last night, i get the courage to kiss her as were at the beach, under the stars, watching the meteor shower, with a blanket and a bottle of white wine, and she doesn't give me any tounge, and im thinking "ok, shes 22, shes probably shy, doesn't want to fully kiss me yet" then i get a little tounge out of it, and she stops me and says "can i ask you a question?", and i say "uh oh, what?" and she says " i dont like french kissing, its a pet peeve, i think it feels awkward. Well, this really takes me aback, cause im a 25 yeart old man, who loves french kissing and a good make out sesssion and i think kissing is the most passionate part, and i cant date anyone who doesnt, but shes really cool, shes a great person otherwise, i just dont know what to do, how to break it off the right way, i mean, i even asked her if she would try french kissing with me, maybe im different, and she wouldnt. Met someone a month ago, knew he was going back to his country, but we were dumb and got too close.
