Duh, the obvious- it makes you all warm and cozy inside. But what about the flipside? Love can take you down like no other, and you could have done everything right. Is it really worth it, to try and find that 1 "special" person? Why not date casually and have no expectations, and with that no disappointment?

Dating casually without expectations is not love. If you really think that you will not be disappointed this way, then you are gravely mistaken. Without the love, your warm and cozy feeling is temporary, if it happens at all. If you try to find the special person, then you have a shot at permanent warm and cozy feelings. If you get this, then I guarantee you it is worth it (I know, because I have it). Casual relationships will either result in love, which could still lead to your dreaded disappointment, or it will lead to you never finding love. Never bothering to find love is like not eating because you are afraid of maybe choking... but then you definitely and slowly starve to death. Great.

The truth is that love only brings people down when they fail. But never trying to love at all means permanent, 100% failure. I fail to see how that is so much less disappointing. You do that, and everyone around you will find love, and you won't. Besides, as the saying goes: it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

I think love is over rated...even if you have it sometimes you become so vulnerable you lose yourself. Honestly I think it's not worth finding that special some one...

...well then you are just rationalizing it...

Big risks, big rewards. To recieve great things, sometimes you have to put yourself out there, sacrifice, get hurt...but in the end, you realize what it all was for.
