Is it just me, or are you too tired of hearing that as a black woman you are dating your man because of "the shortage of black men"? I mean I could care less if there was an influx of black men, I still wouldn't date them. I have always been attracted to white men and when I see this crap about (http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1355/is_10_102/ai_91088599) black women dating white men is a last resort to have a family. I feel a little upset, I mean white men are not my last resort but my first choice, so to all the sexy black women who love white men, what do you think?

I am a white man and I feel that black women can be very strong and powerful, educated, sexy, and has terrific sense of humor. I enjoy being around them, its my preference. They don't live in that fantasy world, they deal with the real world and tell it like it is. I admire and respect that.

I date white men and most I meet online. I would say it's about half and half for me in terms of who shows me interest online. 1/2 black men 1/2 white men. But in real life, white men seem mean and impersonal, which reduces my attraction significantly. Some white men are hot physically, but it's just that unrelatable feeling that reduces my attraction. What's odd today is that although I'm mostly straight. I felt an attracted to a white lesbian. She was more of the masculine type, but had a relatable friendliness that created a spark for me. I'm not eager to explore this, all I know is that I'm generally attracted to down-to-earth people and today I'm aware that means either male or female.

the article actually hit on some real honest points. i have dated the whole united nations practically and I do find that I just want someone on my level no matter what his race. i have also found that for me those men have not been black. whenever i date a black guy it usually ends quickly because he will feel like i think i'm better, smartter or whatever. i don't have that problem with men of other races at all unless they aren't educated or have no goals. so if that is the reality for some people then they will most likely agree withthe article.

Well SpiritPrincess. the folks that write these articles interview a lot of people but no where near enough to get a good majority opinion. so they end up generalising the article based on the few folks that were interviewed. They also add their own ideas. They say they do not, but..... they do. i do not put much stock in "opinion articles" as i call them. do not let these things upset you because it will not do any good and gives you undo stress. also... it seems to me that there is a shortage of GOOD men from all ethnic groups. stay safe.

I know you ask for black women who like white men to respond but I would like to touch base on this question myself. I am a white women but I do not prefer men black or white instead I prefer women. Doesn't matter the skin color. Have we not yet come to a day and age where relationships are not about color, but instead about how people click with one another. I love people for who they are not what they are. Why is it so hard to be open minded, no one has ask anyone to follow in our footstep just don't judge us for OUR choice......thank you

sorry don't mean to be an intrusion....

I strongly believe you can't really help what your mind and heart are attracted to. I am white and personally I am not attracted to white men at all. So I hear about why do I have to steal the black man away from the black women. I understand how old it gets, but those who are judging are those who are alone.

As a white man dating a black woman, I feel a little insulted being referred to as "a last resort". I can't blame you for being tired of it.

I DO get tired of hearing that. I have always dated white men only so the shortage of black men has NOTHING (ZILCH, ZERO, NADD) to do with my selection. Good question.

oh girl yeah i agree with you. i myself am like you. i dont date black men because im not physically atrracted to them. i find them attractive but that's all. i dont believe that "shortage of black men" garbage.

i have always been physcially attracted to white men. i have better luck with them when it comes to relationships.

they make it seem like black women are desparate.

whatever.
