Singles & Dating - 30 July 2007

I went out on a first date with that guy on Saturday. We spent really nice time together, were kissing, after he walked me to my bus, I sent him a txt about nice time spent together and he replied saying the same thing. Now it is Monday and I havent heard from him yet. Is it my turn to txt him first or shall I wait till he does it. Im not sure who is supposed to do that first move. He is aussie - if it would help.

I think there are various different versions of this statement, there's the "I really just see you as more of a mate"... There's the "I've only recently come out of a long-term relationship"... And then there's the classic "I think you're great and really easy to talk to, but....."
Basically, I've met guys who have asked ME out on dates it's gone well and then they've come out with one of these classic one liners... Am I alone in this? I don't seem to have much problem in the initial stages (as in, setting up dates) Perhaps I have a dreadful personality :)

Okay the thing is that my ex & me broke up not too long ago. He told me he wasn’t ready to have a relationship and that he just wanted to be friends nothing more. So this weekend I bump into a co-worked which I though was very attractive. By the end of the night we were both too drunk and we kissed. Now when im back to work I don’t want my ex to find out that I kissed someone else? Because I still have feeling for him. But it hurt me that he broke up with me? So what I did bad? My boyfriend left me for another girl..this is the most horrible thing he could ever do to me. He promised me everything...Now he keeps telling me that he doesn't love me. That we can never be together again. I need help I'm still desperately in love with him. He asked for some time to think, but I know all he's really doing is talking to that other girl. There’s this girl that I like and have told her how I felt a year ago, she said she just want to be friends, however now some things might have changed. She also showed more interests towards me.

But, there's this other guy who likes her too and there's this guy's friend who is a freak who kept teasing her about that boy (Boy A) who likes her and today I saw him asking her, 'Why has the boy gone home? Go accompany him!" and she just laughed along (caused they say it laughing) and ignored their question. But her friends did not react to that - her good friends. But, he also teased me about her, whenever she's not around. But her friends, and today even her sister and her sister's friend were like teasing me about her.

I mean why is that guy teasing her about that Boy A who likes her? And i also saw him asking her something. I don't know what it is though and was like asking her to join sth.

Why do you think he teased her? But her pals didn’t. Is he like helping his friend to get the girl? Does it mean she likes that Boy A who likes her?

I am 16 and my girlfriend is 15 and we've been dating for a month now. We are very open with each other and feel comfortable together. She has only made out once and that was with me but now she tells me she doesn't want to make out and also not do anything sexual for a long time. so, yeah... i watched my poor sister go through this situation and i couldnt have handled it any better than she did.

basically -- she sorta/but not really/hooked up with this guy. basically they were extremely flirty, cuddling, hands all over each, laying down next to each other, etc., etc. you get the point.
(this guy also has a sort-of-girlfriend but that's besides the point, i think.)

anyway the morning after this my sister didnt say anything to this guy. he was quiet and when my sister told me i was pissed because he seemed like a jerk. anyway he didnt say **** to her. but maybe the bad mood was caused by my sister's bestfriend who was pissed at / jealous of my sister's interactions with this dude

In continuation to my previous post I just want to know how I can make my relationship with my boyfriend work. We have been dating for almost a year now. When we were in school things were great. I had him wrapped around my finger. He brought me bouquets to school if I came back from a long vacation and gave up his previous life of endless parties and millions of friends to hang out with me and my mom minus the drinking and parties. As soon as summer came I started my new full time job. We started to talk less and he found a few hobbies and a job. Now I feel like he doesn't care about me and I've noticed that I have become more jealous about his past. He doesn't seem to be affected by my emotions (he used to cry over me and call me all the time) and the passion seemed to die down. I remember when we spent the most magnificent days together. Now we are hardly alone or together. Is it possible to bring the old "us" back? How can I get him to fall in love with me again?

Which I agree is true,but you also need to take some proactive positive steps.
Any tips to finding the right girl,where to look,how to approach,what to do or say?
I mean I know what I know,but if you'd be so kind,I'd like to hear some other opinions on what to do,to be successful,or at least stand a better chance.I still freeze up and get shy like a teenager too around a potential girl i like ,hehe.Maybe u can help me get around that,besides just saying"just ask her out",which doesn't help me get over being shy.
