Singles & Dating - 23 April 2007

This really hot guy who I've known for about a year (we're pretty good friends as it is now) admitted to liking me, and I admitted to having the same feelings towards him. We're talking about going to the movies this weekend, but nothing is official yet, so if I need to I can back out. My best friend went out with him but is now over him, and she says that he was a good boyfriend and very caring, but also had some jerky phases. My other friend also dated him, but said that he was a man whore and thought he could get any girl he wants. She said that he would just make out with you and then get out of the "relationship." He's been a great friend as it is, so I'm wondering if the same behavior would carry over into the relationship. Should I give this friend a chance or listen to his two ex-girlfriends? <3

The thing is that we are both pretty shy. We first saw each other where he works and totally made a connection the minute we looked at eachother! Everytime I go into where he works, we talk a little, he says something like "wow, thats a really cool shirt" and I'll say "thank you" or something else small just to TRY and get us REALLY talking, but we haven't YET to get into a real conversation because we are both just so nervous! This has been going on for about 2 months now, I don't go in there THAT often maybe ever 2 weeks, but it never fails, everytime I'm in there he so obviously nervous but we both still attempt to say SOMETHING to eachother! So, last weekend me and my mom ran into a fast food place to grab something, and low and behold, guess who was in that restaurant at the same exact time?! HIM! My mom said the only way to describe him was that he looked like he was going to "pee in his pants!" We kept shotting glances and little smiles at eachother, but thats it. So, with the suggestion of my mom, I wrote him a letter saying that "...I've never done this before... I don't know if you have a girlfriend but if you don't, here's my myspace and cell phone number so that we can talk out side" [of where he works]. I was to nervous to give it to him myself so I had my mom and little sister go buy something at the store he works at, and then give it to him, from me, as if I were at work and wasn't able to! I wasn't at work, like I said, I was just SO nervous. So, he got the letter a week ago. In your opinion, how long should it take for him to respond? We're both so shy so I don't know WHAT to do! What would you do in order to pursue someone you liked if you were both shy, and he hasn't responded to a letter? Do I give the letter more time or move on to a new strategy? Also, I'm 21, so I would need some advice on how to handle this situation other than how you would handle it in say, high school! Thanks for your opinion! Its greatly appreciated!

ok.. here's the deal.. i have a "friend".. him and i are not officially together, but we talk on the phone every day, text each other and whenever we hang out we make out, hug, and touch... anyway.. it's been going on for over 2 months now.. when i asked him where it's goin' he said "we'll see where it goes".. nothing changed since.. i hate the fact that i dont know where is the whole thing going.. but should i bring it up again? cuz i want us either tobe official or not to be at all....

Ok, what type of man do you know will wait for his girlfriend for a year and a half and not have sex with nobody else? I trust him but the thing about it he went away to Job-Corps and he met this girl there and she ended up leaving 6 months after he came up there and for his birthday she brought him a fitted hat. I've been having sex with this guy for over a year - but that's all it is - basically booty call. He texts / calls me, we have sex and then that's it. At first I thought it would be over like the first time we did it, but he kept calling. What do you think of girls 25-30 who are extremely picky?
I believe a lot in equality, if a girl makes a lot of money a has a very good career, then she should expect her man to have the same or more. I think the same way if a girl is really beautiful, then she should get a really handsome man as well.
But what about those girls who are not working, are not goal oriented, yet want to their "rich prince charming" to come on his own and sweep them of their feet. I'm also talking about the girl who are not pretty, yet are always trashing, and turning down very decent looking guys just because things like "he's handsome, but he's not gorgeous", I want an even taller man, he's got hairy arms, I don't like his hair.

What would you tell these girls?

Me and my ex-boyfriend are talking again working out our problems. He tells me he loves me and really wants us to be together.

Sunday my so called best friend, him, and me went to the mall. When we were in a store this girl came out of the dressing room and he told her she looked hot but told me I was cute. That kinda hurt my feelings so I walked off. I went to the food court and sat with some friends from work.

I called my so called best friend and him to tell them I was going to leave. She comes to where I am and has a bag with her. He bought her a NEW BABY PHAT OUTFIT! I was like wth because he always talks about how money is tight and his bills and blah blah blah. We date about 8 months and he NEVER bought me an outfit.

So I got mad and he didn't understand why and his excuse was he did it to make ME happy!

I'm even more mad at her because she admitted that she knew she was wrong. I told I feel really mad, betrayed and disrespected. Should I?

i was upset at him...it seems that his not the guy that i met before...cuz we usually talk on the phone for several hrs or we text messages....

after we spend time last saturday...he only called me once yesterday we only talk for only 2min and that was around 2pm...i know he woke up late cuz he left my house around 3am...after that he text around 8pm...well he just ask me if i ate dinner and his doing laundry...and thats about it.....

this morning he text me around 11:30am...he never does this before...well i'm assuming cuz lately we always kinda argue....now i'm guessing his friend or whom ever give him idea to give us space to avoid arguments...cuz maybe they think that we always talk on the phone and there's nothing to say so we end up arguing....

now should i ignore him for a while?? advice pls

I have been dating this girl for about year and a half now. She loves to go out places with her girlfriends. Which i don't mind but she always tells me what she did that bothers me. She will be willing to out with her friends to a country bon fire with a bunch of guys which she don't even know and she don't see the danger in that. I'm forty -- five years old, and I've never been married . I feel insulted and offended that not one of the women I've known has wanted me to be her husband . Am I wrong for feeling this way ? Being single is the WORST ! Nobody even gives you a hug when you need it ! The single life is cruel . I'm being wasted on the single life .
