How can you let people know you're looking for a girlfriend in our society without appearing desperate ? How can you let people know you're looking for a girlfriend when EVERY woman you meet is going steady with a jerk ? I hate corny pickup lines, so I'm interested in any better ideas .

Why are you looking for a girlfriend? Are you lonely? We all like companionship, but does she have to be a girlfriend. Besides, you shoudn't be letting people know you're looking for anything. Instead, you should talk to women. Lots of women. There are lot's of single and available women out there. As far as corny pick-up lines, there are lot's of things you can say to women that aren't corny and also isn't what every other guy say to her. Basically it has to appear that you're not trying to pick her up. I can explain a lot of things to you that would bevery helpful. This question makes you look lonely and lonely guys aren't atractive to women. I think you have to work on how you look at yourself and these "jerks" and how they get all the women. Pickup lines dont have to be corny! Its totally fine to be friendly and get to know new people. Its only corny if the guy is after one thing! If you dont wanna seem desperate then take a look around and see if theres a girl whos looking at you first and then make a move. Howabout joining a gym or meeting your friends girlfriends friends? you don't "let people know" that's kind of the point.
if you feel you need to "let people know" or people perceive that you're considered desperate. so just be cool and just...
ok assume that every girl is single. if she's not she'll let you know right away. otherwise just play the game..
