Age is not as big a deal as a lot of people think. What really matters is that two people are in the same stage of life. If you're a 20 year old man who is settled down and ready for a stable, long term relationship, but you're dating a 26 year old woman who is still sowing her wild oats, the relationship won't work. All relationships take effort, and any relationship can work if both people are ready to work hard to maintain their love for each other.

I have dated someone with that age difference (an older woman). We got along very well, had many deep conversations. As long as both people want it to work, they'll work through the age difference. They can't let other people's opinions tear them apart. It takes work, and they might have to laugh off times when the younger person doesn't know some things the older person remembers (or vice versa). But if their hearts and minds agree, that's what counts.

neither situation sounds weird to me. it's the 90 year old men with the 20 year old women that's a little odd. but no, age doesn't matter. that 90 and that 20 year old could really love each other, you never know. i mean, i'm 24 and my ex is 39.

Age does matter, somewhat, to me...however 6 yrs either way has never been an issue (if both parties are adults).

Over 10 yrs is where I've always drawn my line, and I won't consider dating someone old enough to be my parent, or young enough to be my kid...that's just my preference.

sure, it sounds stupid but you have to give a shot to everybody you like... I think age is not such a big problem when you're more than 20, before it can get a bt weird but after that, what do you lose by trying it?
