Singles & Dating - 17 April 2007

When a woman is asked about how many guys she has been with, the answer is usually "three", but can vary slightly between 2 and 5. It doesn't matter if she is 14 or 40, the answer is the same.

So either things get really really slow for women once they leave their teen years, or there is a whole lot of lying going on.

Obviously, a completely honest answer isn't going to be the first choice in most cases (unless you are trying to scare the guy away). But what would be wrong with saying "none of your business" instead? At least that way you wouldn't be lying.

well hes turning 17 in december n i know its way to early but i wanna get him something special and umm expensive if u wanna put it that way. we dont see each other often its one of those long distant relationships and were goin through some family troubles right now and plus i didnt get him anything last year. like the thing is he has basically EVERYTHING hes a spoiled bratt, and i wanna get him something that can somewat measure up to the things he has. and i wanna start the 'search' earlier so i can start saving up for him!

I've known him 4 10 months, & he's not ready to committ yet, but I am. I know he has a lot on his plate, but we do everything together. We go to movies, he spends the night at my place, I spend the night at his, we're together 4 or 5 days out of the week and often spend the whole weekend together. I've met his whole family. I keep saying it's a relationship but he just doesn't want to wear the labels.

Should I be satisfied with the companionship? I'm really not interested in seeing any other guys and I hate having to start over & try something new with someone else. I love him and don't want to seem impatient, but sometimes I feel like he's stalling. I know he has school, work & money issues, but we're basically a couple, this is some kind of relationship so why doesn't he want to call it that?

O.k. my story, I always misinterpret things when it comes to guys. I'm already in college. Never dated. Guys whom I like make me incredibly nervous when they ask me out. I completely freak out and say something stupid or I begin to stutter. So it never happens. I can't even talk to them on the phone. I become blank. I forget that I have a brain and a personality. lol Whenever a guy that I like looks at me, I start to think there is something repulsive and strange about me.

Women tend not to appreciate guys asking them if it's ok if they fantasise about other women during sex nor do we like being called thunder thighs (not even as a 'joke'). Fussy I know but that's women for you. Remember these basic rules next time you meet someone you like & you should be ok.

Im so stuck in my life at the moment. My parents never really loved or cared about me. I moved away from them when i was 15 to live with my then boyfriend. I thought i would be with him forever, he ended up being abusive and i ended up getting into a very controlling realationship. I had an abortion at 16 on xmas eve which i will never get over. We broke up on valentines day this year. I currently with my nan who drives me insane! I can honestly i have neverfelt so alone in my life, any guy doesnt compare with my ex i just dont know where my life is going all i seem do is wake up. go to work, sleepand do it all over again i do have friends but they all have boyfriends which make me depressed i just feel really low and have lost all my confidence i just dont know what do with myself any more. I want to meet someone but i dont know if this is the time for me to do so how could i begin to think of lovingsomeone else when i dont love myself? Any advice would be great.

Theres this guy in one of my classes who i've joked around with some and stuff and he's a great guy.
But he has been flirting with me lately and going out of his way to talk to me and he tells me that i'm pretty and stuff
but i don't see him like that at all.
he is a very emotional lets look for the deeper meaning to life person, and i'm not
plus i have my eye on another guy who i'm hanging out with this weekend

i have to make sure that we can still be friends (i know for a fact that i'm going to have a class with him next year)
and i know that no matter what this guy is the type that will just grin and bear it and still be nice to me
so i really want to make sure that he gets the message
without me having to be mean about it.
