she has a particullar ring for me on her cell phone. she also has one for her mother, and a generic ring for everyone else. I noticed that a particular guy that she goes to school with, and also works with, has a ring for him as well. The song is "unfaithful." He flirts with her constantly, and is afraid to talk to me when we meet. Should I worry?

He is the "player" type, and a lot of girls find him attractive.

Talk to her. You have been together for 3 years, surely a relationship this long has no secrets. You should be able to speak to each other openly and honestly, about anything.
Ask her about the ring tone and the guy. Tell her how uncomfortable it is making you feel. Make sure you dont come accross as sounding like you are accusing her of anything, just say it makes you wonder about her relationship with this other guy. She could be using this song to remind herself what he was like, if he is a player like you say, he could of cheated on her and broke her heart at some stage. maybe that song reminds her of how he made her feel. It oculd of just been a spurr of the moment thing to use that ringtone for him.....I have a special ringtone for my ex....then I know if he is ringing me not to bother rummaging through my bag looking for the phone, cos 9 times out of 10 I dont want to talk to him anyway....there could be many answers and the only one who can give you the correct one is your girl. Go ahead and talk to her. Good luck....I hope it is just an innocent explanation.

Hell yeah. I think you should worry. ALOT. The song itself is a major hint. You should listen to the lyrics. I think that they are more than friends. If they are just friends, he shouldn't be afraid to talk to you. That's a sign of more than just friends. I've seen cases like this numerous of times and they all have the same outcome. And you should ask yourself why is he the only one that has a special ringtone besides you and her mother. I asked friends to read your question and they all quickly agreed you should be very worried. A female friend insisted that you break up with her before your heart is broken. I wouldn't take it that far. But you should confront her and based on her answer make a decsion.

here is the liryc!!1 i would worry!!=
Unfaithful"
Story of my life
Searching for the right
But it keeps avoiding me
Sorrow in my soul
Cause it seems that wrong
Really loves my company
He's more than a man
And this is more than love
The reason that the sky is blue
The clouds are rolling in
Because I'm gone again
And to him I just can't be true
And I know that he knows I'm unfaithful
And it kills him inside
To know that I am happy with some other guy
I can see him dying
I don't wanna do this anymore
I don't wanna be the reason why
Everytime I walk out the door
I see him die a little more inside
I don't wanna hurt him anymore
I don't wanna take away his life
I don't wanna be...
A murderer
I feel it in the air
As I'm doing my hair
Preparing for another date
A kiss upon my cheek
As he reluctantly
Asks if I'm gonna be out late
I say I won't be long
Just hanging with the girls
A lie I didn't have to tell
Because we both know
Where I'm about to go
And we know it very well
Cause I know that he knows I'm unfaithful
And it kills him inside
To know that I am happy with some other guy
I can see him dying
I don't wanna do this anymore
I don't wanna be the reason why
Everytime I walk out the door
I see him die a little more inside
I don't wanna hurt him anymore
I don't wanna take away his life
I don't wanna be...
A murderer
Our love, his trust
I might as well take a gun and put it to his head
Get it over with
I don't wanna do this
Anymore
Uh
Anymore (anymore)
I don't wanna do this anymore
I don't wanna be the reason why
And everytime I walk out the door
I see him die a little more inside
And I don't wanna hurt him anymore
I don't wanna take away his life
I don't wanna be...
A murderer (a murderer)
No no no no
Yeah yeah yeah

Just because he's stereotyped as a player, doesn't mean that your girl will fall for him. Please this sounds like a trust issue between you and your girl, but the common mistake in a relationship is assumption. Don't assume that she could be cheating on you. Investigate, if she really is cheating, they're bound to slip up, but ultimately this guy might just intimidate you and your letting it get the best of you because of the contact that you think he could have with your lady.

That's an interesting song choice. Definitely be aware that something could be amiss. I would call her out on it. Not only does he have a ringtone (which means she wants to know when he is calling and must talk to him frequently) but it is about cheating? Ask her why the song choice and see if she can look you in the eye and answer.

Well there is plenty of people like that out there, but if he is a player I would ask to your girl if she likes him too and maybe talk to this guy. And if he is a player, they usually mess around with other girls too so he is probably flirting with other girls too because thats just what players do.
Well good luck.

It seems you have a reason to be concerned, and question the special song she has for him. Find out what the songs meaning is, it may have that same meaning to her.

dude...i have had this happen to me too! i thought that i didnt have to worry about it and that i could trust my girlfriend. Well, in the end, i got burned...and bad! she ending up leaving me for him and i tried telling her that he was a "player" but she didnt listen to me and now we don't even talk.
I would tell you not to worry...but that would be the wrong thing to do! You might wanna talk to her before you get hurt just like i did.

I think that having a personal ring tone is just that, personal. Why does she feel close enough to him to have a "song"? Just a thought.
