Singles & Dating - 2 January 2007

I have heard about people who have sex with friends (friends with benefits) and have seen a couple of episodes of True Life on MTV about it. And I personally think it's pointless. I mean it's either an extended one night stand, or a real relationship- with romantic feelings-in denial. And a lot of those people say there's no strings attached or no committment but I disagree. What do you think?

There are many things we do for that special someone,; we sacrafice our dreams to makes thiers happen, we refuse a job to stay wtih them, but the hardest thing to do is to tell them that they will be better off without you

at first,him,me & a friend was suppose to hang out together, but in the end, my friend backed out & thus me and him ended up going to the movies together.
i had sooo much fun,but i was sort of reserved and i guess it sort of spoiled things. )=
i wore a spagatti-top that day and when he noticed i was cold at the movies,he put his arms round me and from that moment on, we held hands throughout.it was so sweet
he too dropped me some hints..but i thought he was just being nice..and thought''what if my friend was the one in my place?would they have shared drinks,food,held hand,acted like lovers?would they have more fun?'' and that sort of dampened the mood, he knew something was bothering me and kept asking me, but i kept changing the topic.but now,i realised that i like him.alot.
i tried asking him out again but he's always busy(he needed to work, this i understand)
now i'm really confused,should i tell him i like him,i want to give it a try, but i'm scared of spoiling our friendship

I know the general rule with guys is to keep it to a minimum. Would you rather see a girl with a lot of makeup that looks hot, or one with a little/none? Is it truly our imagination, or do most girls look better without it?

Okay, last week I asked a question about a really touchy/feely co-worker (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AvGGwvNjaiXkR7jQwNJ7apnsy6IX?qid=20061228204941AA7jXyW). Most of the people said that she probably likes me. But since then, I've noticed that when this other person is around, she flirts with him like crazy (more than she does with me), and she doesn't really talk to me that much when he's around (it's not like she flat out ignores me, but she talks to me a lot less). Also, this guy is more her age then me. She's only 2 yrs. older than me, but she's in college and I'm in high school, so our lives are completely different. So, now I'm asking, since she acts like this, could it be that she doesn't really like me, and is just a touchy person? Ladies, do you ever touch somebody just to touch them?? Keep in mind, I know her well enough to know that she is NOT a flirt, and she would NOT be trying to play with my head.

One time she says I shouldn't worry and that she wouldn't do anything to ruin our relationship and then the next time she tells me how tempted she was to meet them and that I should be proud of her for being honest and telling me about the call. I have a problem that she was even tempted at all. She admits that if women called me the way her "friends with benefits" call her that she would be very upset and not trust me. I am intelligent and a realist and see the red flags but I think she is just scared of commitment and she might be testing me to see if she can scare me off. We are both 40+ and have been married twice. Not new to the ways of the world.

Is it wrong for me to be 3 years older than my boyfriend? You see I don't know what to do, b/c he's dad doesn't like me b/c of me being 3 years older than my boyfriend. What should I do? His dad scares me b/c of him not approving of me. Should I break up with him b/c of his dad not approving of me? What should I do? Please Help!! I'm afraid to call b/c of his dad, and he doesn't have a cell. Also, his dad only allows him 15 minutes on the phone if I do decide to call him, which isn't very often. HELP!!

He stood me up a week before Christmas. Did not hear from him until a little while ago. I didn't tell him to go to hell or call him any names, but I let him know he really hurt me and that I couldn't trust him. Before I never questioned him, I trusted him no problem, he seemed like a good person. I really like him but I am afraid he's going to hurt me again, not want to stay, or do another dissapearing act.....

He is a Sheriff, claims deaths of co workers and other officers made him withdraw. I understand that issue (and wonder if I should look it up) Still he agreed he should have called and apologized for it....like he didn't know it would hurt my felings....


What the hell should I do???? I did miss him like crazy but I never called. Now I don't know if I should give him a last chance, but I hate being the one giving ultimatums, it's not my style.

Nutshell: We have been dating for 7 years and living together for 4. He lied to me about a girl he was seeing and then when I found out (not the first time either), he basically left me to live with her for about three months. We gave up our apartment and now he is living on his own. A month ago he called and said he wanted me back, when I told him I needed time he cussed at me (he is continously putting me down calling me terrible things I cant even type here) He is 32 and I am 25. I still talk to him because I care about him. He says that I am not gving him a chance and that I never really loved him, b/c I wont even meet him for a drink. But then calls back and says he loves me and then hates me. He keeps talking about other girls to me especially the one he left me for tonight he called and asked for his ex girlfriends phone number. I have had it. I am wrong for not giving him a chance when he rubbed my face in his affair for 3 months?? A guys point of view woulf help too

I met a girl at work, and she has a boyfriend that she has known for about 5 years now, but recently, he hasnt been calling her and hasnt seen her since thanksgiving. when she calls him he sometimes ignores her calls and makes excusses to see her. since then we been spending alot alot of time together, went to new years partywith her parents, been going to movies, watching movies at my house, going to dinner, we been doing alot of things a normal couple would do.. We have had sex 8 times now, and its the best sex that i and she has ever had thats what she told me. If you broke up with someone and they sent you a email saying " Regardless of anything that has happened with us in the past, I want you to be happy, healthy and all things good and nothing will change that".

Does this mean the person still loves you? I think it's a very sweet thing to say after all the heartbreak.

so after 8 months....we broke up then became friends with benefits...i think he started talking to another girl and told me we can't be friends because he doesn't want to hurt me because i'm going to continue to feel a certain way about him and he's not going to feel the same way...its been 20 days now since that happened but christmas and new years passed by and i'm wondering why he didn't even call to say merry christmas or wish me a happy new year? ;(
