Hey Sit..I am 50 and feel like my life just began....I was you five years ago till I got it....life is what you make it...all I did was work, take care of my one child left at home, hooked up with a really stupid guy, and made all the mistakes in life you can imagine...then one day it hit me...hey...
this isn't a dress rehersal..(cher) it is the real deal.... I started to make my life count by doing nice things for other people, I know it sounds all pollyanna-ish, but it works. I started opening doors for old people at the store, started paying someone, anyone a compliment a day....the more you do that, the more it helps, contact old friends, smile at stangers, leave everything better than you found it...bake a neighbor a pie, take on a little brother or sister, (great program), go to an animal shelter and spend time with the animals there, they alow you to walk the dogs and (even though against the rules) I would always let the cats out of their cages....that was probably, for me, the best thing I ever did, I may have felt bad, I identifiied with these animals, they were orphans stuck in a cage, alone, and so was I. Your life does mean something, take hold of it. You are not here for no reason, get out there and own it.
Oh ya...on another note..yahoo dating was fun too!!!! good luck.

Skydive. That's what I do. Soooo life is passing you by. Try doing it at 200 MPH freefalling in a delta position that will make you taste life. Some other things to do that are fun that I have found great. "Running of the Bulls" in Pamplona Spain. Nothing like being caged in a ring with 2 two ton bulls with horns the size of your arms charging and spinning like raging tornados and thousands of Spainards screaming your demise. How about taking up rockclimbing with out harnesses and hanging off of cliff faces that will make you cream you pants. How about bowhunting Kodiak grizzly bears in Alaska that will get that old 45 year old blood pumpin' that ticker. It got me a hard one! Good luck!

This answer is coming from a 24 year old who is extremely busy with work, her academics, tutoring, and etc. Between all that, I try to take time aside to have quite time in my life. Yes, I get out and enjoy myself with friends and family....and my fiance. If you are free on the weekends...I would suggest to hang out with your friends or if you are married...go see a movie or out to a nice resturant. If you live near an arts and crafts store, I would suggest to find something in there to gain an hobby. Most stores like this one have beading, scrapbooking supplies, fine arts supplies, etc. I hope I was a help you....and you find something that will make you happy.

Same for me. I lost my passion for a sport I was into and now I feel like a total drone. The sport was my whole life for 20 years and that was fine til now and I have no family, no career, nothing but a job that is a workaholic trap.
I think to truly live a person must find and pursue a passion. Find your path with heart. And focus like a laser beam.

take at least 30 min out of your day doing something for yourself or someone else, service is always a good thing to make you happy. it definitely makes you enjoy life more knowing that you made someone Else's life alittle better even if in the smallest way.

I am 42 and I feel like life is much better now because at this age there is nothing left to prove. The only thing that life allows you to do at this moment is relishing every moment, trying new things even if they are dumb and getting hit on by the younger guys.

I can relate. I raised my 2 boys alone, now they are 22 and 19 and me and my gf of 5 years broke up last April.
So all I do is work and work.
