Growing up, I noticed a trend in the movies I watched, the songs I heard, the way women's fashion was becoming more revealing, and the increase in pornographic material for men. I see this trend showing how popular and acceptable being promiscuous has become. Promiscuity is such a part of our culture that now being open about our sexuality seems viewed more as a virtue than an offence, as it once was viewed 50 years ago. Understanding this trend, I grew up being repulsed by sex and scared of women. Sex is now rarely portrayed as something that is mysterious, beautiful, or even appealing. I even began to perceive it as being something almost vulgar or something to be feared. I was also confused because everywhere I went the message seemed to be that if you weren't having sex, you were somehow incomplete. I was even more confused in the midst of my teen years when friends began telling stories of heart-break and pain due to experimenting sexually and getting hurt in the process. Something is not right with this picture. To me, it appears that more problems result when we give in to the pressure to be sexually explicit over waiting to experience sex. Deep in my heart, I wanted to view sex as something sacred: something I would not give to just anyone. So I decided at a young age to wait to have sex until marriage. As some make a conscious decision not to take drugs, I consciously decided not to give my body to many women, but only to the woman I marry.

Im in high school and I went out with this guy called Shannon for a month, We broke up because we got major teasing and humiliation.
Its now been about 3 months and he rang me and said he still likes me and wants to get back together with me. He is giving me about 12-18 hours to anwser. I dont know if I still like him... I am with a man for 4 and 1/2 years now and he has a 5yr old son by his most recent ex. While his son is lovely I still have issues with the fact that he told me about him 2 years into the relationship and I still have to accept the fact that he is still friendly with his ex. Over the x-mas hols I just wanted to disappear and go somewhere on my own because ex was in contact with him alot (his son was spending these days with us) and they were exchanging texts and wishing each other a great holiday. While this is supposed to be a good thing since they have a child together, I was pissed off because he already had his son. why did he need to be in contact with her? Am i being immature or would anyone else feel similar?

I got married to someone else when I first met "him" online. Told him I was getting married. He still sent me email cards through these 4 yrs for Christmas, Halloween,ect..just friend stuff..
I notified him of my divorce in September of 06..he started emailing me again,,this time wanting to meet me and asking me out after the divorce.He started calling me and talking over the phone some...Well I invited him to a family party 5 days ago before New Years Eve. He met my family stayed about an hour and left..said we could do lunch maybe this week,,, he sent me another email card for New Years, but nothing else since...I texted message him on New Years but he has done nothing since....
He is a doctor and claims to be busy at times,,,what do you think ..I need GUY advice on this also...

I've just broken up with my g/f of three years. During this time I've fallen out of touch with my friends as she never seems to get on with them (especially female ones), I've found that we always spent time with her friends and family instead of mine even though as a doctor I hardly have any free time. Ironically I find myself having spent more money on her than vice versa 'as I earn more money'. I'm not asking if this relationship was right but how much other people have put up in relationships too. I'm just suprised I stayed with her and her insecurities for so long.
