well... can he? Think back to previous discussions... How did you react to them? Did you interrupt him when he was talking? Did you cut him off a lot? Has there been problems before but you didn't notice them? Has he tried to talk to you before about something that he wanted to talk about but you didn't? Cuz if you did listen to him, would let him finish talking about things you didn't want to talk about, etc., then he could just be using that as an excuse just to dump you without having to tell you the real reason, whatever that may be.

He sounds depressed and is trying to "bring down" his surroundings.
Stop wasting your time on him and meet someone sensible.
This guy is fishing for an argument or is a "wind-up merchant" and will always find something to moan about.
Do you deserve better?
I also agree with Vzhnri. Beware of people who say: "That's just the way I am" or those who refuse to "change". The very nature of life itself is change.

I think there may have been other reasons than his mood that he ended it for but he must have felt he couldn't talk about them to you. I think you should just accept that it is over. For a relationship to work there needs to be open and honest communication.

Watch out for people who refuse to change. While they act like its a condition most times its a weapon and if you can have this person out of your life, so much the better.

It sounds like he couldn't communicate his honest feelings to you. It was his way of telling you that he was being true to himself..and probably you are better for it. Move on, sweetie.

Unfortunately they are sometimes too stubborn but when they realise what they have lost they may suddenly be able to change their mind!

mostly we stick to whats lodged in there. thats why we are men. If it sounds good the first time around, we do it. when we relised we were wrong, we are still right. even though we know, that u know we know, that we are wrong but we know that you know we are right. even when we are wrong.
