Singles & Dating - 23 December 2006

I am 33 weeks pregnant. My ex-boyfriend and I have been apart since October. For a while, I was clinging to the hope that we would be back together ... over this past week I have finally accepted that we will not.

I have recently met a nice man who wants very much to take me out on a date. He is mature, attractive, and interested in me. I know that I am not over my ex, but it is the holidays and its very hard to be alone. If I have explained my situation to this other man and expressed that I want to move slowly, is it wrong for me to go out with him, knowing that I am still in love with someone else?

I'm 25. I've never had a girlfriend or been on any real dates. I'm a very sociable, outgoing guy. My only downfall is that I tend to talk a lot and I overthink about situations. I have gone through phases where being single has bothered me and at other times I dont' think about it at all. Nowwdays, I find that i"ve fallen back into that space where I feel desperate. Where I'm looking, hoping to find someone. This, then gets my mind all worked up and I start to worry about things, and when I worry I complain a lot to my friends. I make a big deal out of nothing. At my age, I should know by now that the more I yern for companionship the harder it will be to find it (most people say when they aren't looking, thats when it happens) but yet I keep doing it.
Long story short: I think about getting a girlfriend constantly knowing that it's just a desperate act that needs to stop. My question is how?

am a twenty three year old woman with a nearly two year old child i am a single mother. When i was pregnant with my daughter her father walked away and told me she wasnt his. At the time i was thinking it was a good thing becuase he was heavily (and i think still is ) into drugs. apart of me wants to be a family with him again but apart of me KNOWS better. we argued alot. and now he quit calling alltogether. He hasnt payed support for her at ALL. He met her when she was allready six months old and hasnt seen her since and in three months shell be two years old. WHY do i still have feelings for him? are they legitimate feelings? Why cant i just GET over him and move on? ive dated but i still cant get my mind off him HELP!

i was going out with a girl for 2.5 years after around a year i did not want to be with her but didnt know how to break up with her. we broke up i didnt talk to her for 3 months then she got a boyfriend and i not sure if developed feelings or jealousy. she tells me all the things he does i didnt, but she would still call me like everynight till i said i loved her. was me saying this love or jealousy cause i never acted like this when we dated only after i found out she had a boyfriend. i never thought about her in the time we were broken up but since she got a boyfriend and like tells me all the things he does i have some kind of feelings. i know how much she lvoed me when we dated cause she said she wanted to marry me, but now does not think like that since we broke up about with anyone.

That is the name of a book that was written several years go by the man and woman who wrote for the tv show Sex in the city.

Basically these two writers came to the conclusion that if a man is not chasing you or they are not calling every minute then the man is 'Just not in to you.'

I say some men are less aggressive and you should not write them off.

my ex girlfriend left me for some other foo at my school... she pisses me off beyond all beleif... and yet... she makes me want to break down when i think about her (which is like every five minutes). She said when she comes back from san diego, she wants to hang out... i know i still have feelings for her... and yet when i see her face... i want to go on a rampage like i occasionally do in the game GRAND THEFT AUTO. Hi, i am 16 years old and I have never been able to bring myself to ask a girl out or to even dance. For the majority of my life, I have avoided girls. I just started talking to them last year basically. I've got some friends now but that's not good enough. I still get nervous around ones i don't know really well. Most girls now have had boyfriends before and i have no experience. It causes much pressure. I don't know how to flirt, i don't know how to attract girls, and i don't know how to ask a girl out.

Girls, what do you like? Guys, what seems to work? how do i pick myself up and start my life? i'm 16 and can hardly even talk to girls! I need help before it's too late!

Ok, so i am going to start off saying that this is highschool drama at its best. I liked a girl in my school for awhile, but sum things were complicated she liked me blah blah blah, I finally got to the point to ask her on a date and she accepted. about the third date in, one of my "Best Friends" came out and said he liked her lying about it in the past, saying he didnt like any1 and how he would not back down blah blah. Well he was talking to her on aim her still. Now i ask her to go to the dance with me she accepts again everything is going great, now my friend after the dance asks her on a date why we are at an after party, and she always had a little crush on him, but has one on me also. Now she is stuck in the middle betweeen us, and it has gotten pretty big in the school to see who is going to get the girl. What do you guys think please help cause i am pretty much clueless what to do on the matter. Thanks Kyle...

I met this super hott sweet guy a while back ago. From day one he acted like he liked me. Everytime I see him in town he'd always ask me to chill with him. He never tried to do anything sexual or even make out with me. We just chilled and had fun. He works out of state so I hardly see him. But when I do,he does sweet things that gets me thinking he might actually like me. Just the way he's always slowly trying to get close to me, and the way he looks at me. Well this past time I seen him, he asked me if I had a boyfriend, I said no, and he was like "O really.. thats great news." Later that night.. we rode around with a couple friends,and we started making out. He wouldnt stop kissing me.. he kept on and kept on. Then when we stopped hed do sweet things like kiss my forehead, and ask me if I was uncomforable. Then later, he just left,,, w/o sayin bye (i had to first) and I havent heard from him since. Wat's up with that? What should I do in this situation?

At the moment we are mates but I would like it to be more than that. I have talked to two of my mates about this:
Mate 1 says: that i should just stay mates with her get to know her more and then hope that something happens.
Mate 2 says: that i should just go for it and ask her out.

Ok well iam 19 and my g/f is 16 weve been dating for about 2 months well shes pregnant.we told our parents and their cool about it. And iam gunna take care of her and the baby regardless. but my question is this see her mom said that she can tell we really really like eachother and that i should ask her to marry me. Her mom also told me that if i ask her daughter to marry me then she will pay for a church wedding. i need some help heh iam just so confused do you think we are too young to get married or will it be best for the baby.
