If you've been with him more than 10 mins, Yes you should know what he wants. He's probably told you 100's of times, did you listen ??? Women are much better than men at listening and knowing what to give/get people. If you aren't going to listen to him, then leave him, he's obviously not as important to you, are you are to him....You don't llisten with your heart as well as ears.

I guess you might know what he would like if you have been dating a long time, but if it is just a few months and he told you that, I would get him a giant Hershey kiss and tell him that's what I thought he wanted. Merry Christmas...........

ah, turnabout is fair play!
guys have been getting this wrap for years! ladies go on and on about what they want (or think they want) and when the guys act on it, the ladies get all flustered because it's not what they wanted...and because "the guy SHOULD HAVE KNOWN!"
we are not mind readers...and neither are you. tell him to stop acting like a girl and tell you what he wants. then go buy it. you'll both be happy.

Great. I wonder what tone of voice he used when he said that? Keep it simple. You're not married, so keep it fun. If he doesn't like it and gives you a hard time, I would reconsider my choices. Not of the gift, of him.

i think you should get him a gift certifacate to his favorite store. if he told you that you should know what to buy him, then................ he's expecting to much from you. i think he doesnt really know what he wants, or he thinks you should know this and he will not tell you no matter what.
