Hi, i am 16 years old and I have never been able to bring myself to ask a girl out or to even dance. For the majority of my life, I have avoided girls. I just started talking to them last year basically. I've got some friends now but that's not good enough. I still get nervous around ones i don't know really well. Most girls now have had boyfriends before and i have no experience. It causes much pressure. I don't know how to flirt, i don't know how to attract girls, and i don't know how to ask a girl out.

Girls, what do you like? Guys, what seems to work? how do i pick myself up and start my life? i'm 16 and can hardly even talk to girls! I need help before it's too late!

This might not be the best advice, but watch and see how other guys do it. You can't learn confidence, but you can learn how to fake it to get a date! :)

I'm not really a girly-girl, but I usually respond to guys who talk to me and joke around a lot. Smiling is always good, and you have to seem interested in me. If I like you, I'll smile back and talk with you... if you just make friends with a girl and talk to her a lot, then you'll (hopefully) know if she's into you or not. Then casually ask her if she wants to go out with you....

I don't know how much that helps, but good luck! You'll do fine!

I think you're probably not scared to ask girls out, but you're more afraid of the reply. As with anything in life the more practice you get, the better off you will be. Just be yourself go up to a girl and ask her if she wants to go to a movie. If she says "no", rest assured someone will say "yes". Good luck

Tyler, don't be afraid, I'm like that and I'm 14, but how i got my first girlfriend was i stuck love letters and poems to her locker {you can find them over the Internet} and then bought her a cheap diamond necklace and then asked her,and she said yes!!!!!and i never even had a girl as a friend be for.

I know how you feel because I'm still there...& I'm 23 which I feel is pretty sad. I know the whole "be yourself" deal always works, but if you don't act on it now you might end up like me & it'll get harder than before. Just do your best to gather yourself & just put yourself out there. You'll never know if you try...damn I need to take my own advice.

this is normal at 16.

i like to ask this question every now and then just to get the responses for something new.

You just have to practice by being "friendly" without any expectations.

Its gonna be alright.

you sound like a really sweet kid and (im 16 too) have the same prob with guys tho not girls (l0l).
i like a guy that itsn't afraid to like flirt with me (ex. like take my stuff so i have to fight back to get it, looks me up and down, he will sit by me whenever he can, he makes eye contact with me as much as possible, he messes with my hair, he laughs at me just to see me smile and tell him to shut up, he asks about my day, he sneaks up on me, ECT.)
but this is just me..
