I know this question might sound weird and some may say don't give up. But, I have loved my father, my first love, and my soul mate and I found they just didn't love me back enough. Some might find this giving up on love and other's may say its just hurt. But, at the end of the day we die alone with the beginning and the end and kind gestures on our tombstone. I'm a very very discipline d person in all other areas of my life and decided this area must be disciplined as well. I have found it causes problems, causing distractions and may ultimately stir me from my goals in life. So I've started by changing my number, and any feelings of loneliness I just go out and do something or focus on my business. What other practices can I start to forget about loving a man to train myself?( Seriuos Responses Only)

So my bf and I have been dating for 4 months. He's 23, and I'm 22. We go to the same school. Everything has been great; he told me he loves me. I love him, etc. A few weeks ago, he told me he found out his ex is dating again (he dated her for 3 years and broke up with her shortly before coming to school). He said he's a little jealous and is worried that could mean he still has feelings for her. I was kind of upset at first, but I went through the same thing when my ex started dating again. Anyway, our relationship has gotten so much better since then. We spend a lot of time together, and he told me I'm probably the best person he's ever met and he feels really lucky to be dating me. Even so, he left today to go home for Christmas (he lives in MN, but we go to school in VA). He's going to see his ex over break to make sure his feelings are nothing to worry about. He told me that unless something big happens he can't imagine not wanting to date me. Should I worry?

32 year old lawyer here. I'm fairly good looking (or so I've been told). I haven't had a seriously girlfiend ever (although I have dated casually before). I really don't know why no woman has held my interest for more than a day . . . or why I just seem to lack the desire to devote a lot of energy into chasing a little "hhhrruummp hhhrrrump" . . . Anyway, most of my friends are married and when I compare myself to them, I just seem so different.

First off, I LOVE TO SHOP . . . for ANYTHING. Sometimes "skinny jeans" othertimes flowers, wrapping paper, or marzapan candies, etc. I just love shopping. And giving gifts to friends!

I'm also sensitive and I cry a lot . . . at movies (like the Karate Kid) or just when someone tells me something sad (like they are unhappy with the way their new wallpaper looks, etc).

I never thought of myself as gay, and have never "made it" with a boy.

Should I just go for it with a boy and see how I feel afterwards?

It sucks, because I wanna fit in with the gamer-type crowd, but even tho i play games...I'll never be considered one of them, because I wear preppy-type clothing and work out, to fit in with more popular people, and to attract girls. I'm more of a nice guy, but this pisses off the mean guys for some reason, but I try to fit in with them too by being tough. Damnit, is there any way to get along with everyone, and not be considered a frickin fake?

I have been together wit this one kid for a long time and yes i do love him alot.Like i still get butterflies in my tummy when he comes around me its supa dupa great.But see the big prob here is that i don't get to seee him alot because of football and my stupid job and that really suck ya know. Sex is a good thing. Sex is for young people (the word young is not meant as a chronological statement). Sex is for healthy people. Sex is pleasureable. Sex is an intimate connection with another human being; something we all need. Sex is a natural and instinctive behavior. And so on.

Do you really think that there is something wrong with serial monogamy? If people are having sex with someone they would choose as a partner when alcohol and drugs aren't part of the decision making process and they are practicing birth control and STD prevention, how can it be wrong?

Make sure you understand the difference between serial monogamy and the one-a-day drunken last call act of desperation or your answer will be way off target.

my ex and i dated for 2yrs had a great relationship, broke-up because fin. problems. stayd really good friends he started seeing sum one for 8mos. i was hurt over, stayd friz. now 2yrs later still luv him told him. he said he does luv me alot. we said this 2mos ago but, he is really not happy w/ his life right now. he is very broke no money, no job, no car & lives w/mom. a now the other girl has started to call him again. he says she is just a friend only spends time w/me. i'm a 19 yr old girl i'm with this 32 yr old man for 1 yrs and 9 months... for e start our relationship was ok.. he will take initiative to make me happier.. we wud go out and have fun. he wud bring me to places for romantic dinners.. but after half a yr.. everything changed. e first few months of our relationship he used to have sex with me 5 or e least twice a day.. and now.. i will have to ask and Hint and it makes me feel like a ****.. and it made my self esteem went down. She cheated on me with her ex once. Then she broke with me on the phone one hour before her plane trip to visit her best friend. Then in less than 24hrs her best friend asked her out and she said yes, because I "blew up" when she broke with me, ON THE PHONE, and AN HOUR BEFORE VISITING "her best friend". That was 6 months ago.

I live 6 hours away from home,cos of work.! So anyway,bout a month ago i went back home to spend some time, so i was there for about 5 weeks. Theres this guy that stays directly opposite my house. He's 17, i'm 19. So we frequently exchanged texts but never spoke! So we did eventually start talking but not more than 3 sentences at a time. So 1 night i decided to have a house party.I thought i had a crush on him,he is sooooo cute.So Mr.17 was around so i took advantage of the situation!!! Asked him to come, and he did!! Night was damn perfect...he arrived at 9,we kissed round about 12...and the kissing went on till morning (literally!) He came exactly a week later and the same thing happened...but it was just us 2.We ONLY KISSED, NOTHING ELSE!And both nights my parents arrived home while he was there...so i hid him in my closet. We never got caught! Crap part: I think he told everyone what happened and added a little spice(lied about what really hapnd)They all think we slept togethr.HELP

So I have been dating this girl for the past four months and I have fallen deeply in love with her. The only catch is that she has been dating another guy on and off for the past year and half that lives in a different state. There are things that the girl does and shares that makes me realize she has strong feelings for me, but there are other days it seems like I am nothing. I have asked her if she wants him or if she wants me, but she says she is not sure. She tells me that we click on a different level, and make her feel so comfortable around me. Now he has came out here to visit her once about a month into us dating, but he is coming out here again in a couple of weeks. I want her to hopefully figure out what she wants this time when he comes out here, but should I even wait until then? Do I continue to hangout with her they way I have been, or do I back off? Will distance help her miss me? Sometimes I feel that I am here just when she needs me, but man I love her what do I do?

Ok I started dating this girl 4 months ago...we fell in Love fast and spend almost everday together. We are both in our mid 20's. Recently (last 2-3 weeks) we ran into some rough stuff in our familes...deaths of relatives , fights with parents..etc. So naturally I have wanted to see her and spend time with her in order to get comfort. She on the other hand has been more distant and alot less afectionate. So I have been constantly asking her whats wrong, and if it was me, and how she feels about me. She always reassures me that its not me and that she loves me, but her actions do not back it up. I explained to her that I am only feeling insecure due to her actions, and she said that my insecurity is pushing her away, and so it snow balls. Im feeling taken for granted. I spoke to her today about why she seems to be happier when she hangs out with her friends than when she hangs out with me, and she said its cause they dont pester her about whats wrong. Help?

Tonight my daughters pre-school is having their Christmas party for the kids and parents. Would this be a good time to try and hit on some of the young hot single moms that have their kids go there too?

I am a 26 year old single dad, so I would not be cheating if you were thinking that. But I have seen some of the moms that drop their kids off, and some of them are really cute!

he still mad about that I feel so bad. I didnt stand him up on purpose I had other things to do and I didnt call him and let him know that. So he called me today and he wants to hang out and I have no idea what we should do. I asked him what he wants to do and he said that he doesnt know me that well so he asked me what I want to do.
