Tonight my daughters pre-school is having their Christmas party for the kids and parents. Would this be a good time to try and hit on some of the young hot single moms that have their kids go there too?
I am a 26 year old single dad, so I would not be cheating if you were thinking that. But I have seen some of the moms that drop their kids off, and some of them are really cute!
What do you all think?

Ok, by "hit on them" I do not mean walking up and saying "If I could change the alphabet I would put U and I together"!
I do mean startigng up a conversation and seeing if they would like to get coffee or something. This question was really more of would this be a good time and place type thing.
And I will NOT be ignoring my daughter for this, she is my little 3 foot nothing world! She will always be the #1 girl in my life, but after being a single dad for about a year now I feel that at least a date wouldn't hurt.

I think the problem here might be the way you stated your question... ie. "...hit on some of the young hot single moms ..." It kinda sounded like a bar scene, if ya know what I mean.
There's nothing wrong with striking up a conversation with other parents with children in your child's school. Just don't give the appearance of being a wolf using your child to get women.

Absolutely ok. I would go mingle and get some back story on them before going too far, but why the hell not? I am sure there are some other single moms there.
Just make sure you aren't obvious. Start slow. Most of these single moms may be a little bit wary of men if they have recently been dumped or divorced.

Inappropriate to actually hit on them.
But you could take the opportunity to chat them up at a friendly level -- from there, things could always go further in the future.
But for this Christmas party, definitely keep it at a friendly socializing thing, which is great because it could innocently lead to more later on, if you hit it off with someone.

I would just have nice conversations with them or one if you have pointed one out already. Since this is for the kids keep it for the kids. If you want to you can even ask one to go out for dinner or a few drinks to talk more adult talk. But keep it sweet and make her more interested in you by showing how much you love your daughter. A little flurting never hurt but not over doing it.

Most single moms dropping off kids to christmas pagents .. are in the doable situation, that is if you can charm them by mentioning that thier child is lovely, admire the kid ... then invite her out side for a 15 minute tour of the inside of you car.

I am a single mom with young children and I see nothing wrong with one of the single dad's hitting on me as long as they r sweet and don't come on to strong. Single mothers are leary so take ur time and don't do anyhting outrageous!! Have Fun!!!!

As long as you dont focus your evening on this. As tonight is your childs night. Pay attention to your daughter. Believe it or not most daughters will tell you that there dads did not pay them undivided attention when there were activities that were important to them. Thats why as teens they look for love in all the wrong places. They are looking for the love of dad. You men dont see it, but it is true. I think focus on your daughter and if something happens as far as love so be it. Your daughter is supposed to be your priority.

well Its my opinion that if the moms are single then i dont see why it would be bad to do so. Maybe some of them are waiting for you to ask them for coffee or maybe a play date can also break the ice. Comfortable and safe. Just be nice...its not the bar scene.

Most women who are going to these things probably have a man who pays the bills and she isn't working, just look at what there driving. Who do you think is making those SUV payments?
A single mother of kids cant go because shes working a 2nd job at the local dunk and drowned.
