He's probably asking because it is not obvious to him. And I'm guessing it is not obvious to him because you don't show it. I feel that way because you honestly can barely answer his question. That to me clarifies that you are not "in love" with him. If you were you'd have no trouble answering the question. You may care for him deeply but, that's not enough if you want a lasting, loving relationship. If I'm wrong then think back to all the fun memories you've had together. Think back to the moment you knew that you loved him. It's a pretty strong emotion to feel and it should be no trouble at all to remember what it felt like and why you felt it. I'd tell him the stories like you remember them and say... that's why. :) Good luck and God bless!

I have asked that question in the past. It comes from a low self-esteem, and needing a little more from the one you are with. No matter what you do, he doesn't seem quite happy? Just tell him the truth--honest, loving, trustworthy, and if he wants you to be more specific, try physical things, like his eyes, his lips, but more often than not i was looking for things like because you make me feel good, you know when to hold me, you treat me well, you are a good person....hope this helps!! P.S. I hav since boosted my self esteem! I no longer need someone to tell me how to feel about myself---I'm GREAT lol

I never know answers for that question either. You love someone because they are the person that they are. If he forces you to give an answer, think of some of the things that you admire, respect, appreciate about him. Those are probably reasons why you love him. Either way, it is a dumb question.

Why can you barely answer? don't you truly love him in return?? and if you can barely answer then he probably has a right to ask why u love him since it sounds like there is something up, i would recommed that you stop leading him on, and move on to another person...

I HATE it when I get asked that. They should know the answer already! LOL!
Just say because he treats you with respect, is honest, trustworthy, etc.
Here's a corny website with things you can say. :P

It sounds like he is insecure. You should try to do subtle things to reassure him. Tell him he is worthy (if he is).
Communication is the key. If his neediness bugs you, it's only fair to both of you to let him know.
Good Luck!

OH man...my girlfriends asks me that all the time and I hate it.
Best i can come up with so far is "you make me feel good about myself."
