i've been talking to this girl for a couple of months now. & we're somewhat dating. recently though, i've lost all interest. & i want her to know i don't want to be involved with her like that anymore. i've been doing everything possible to make her not like me. flirting with other girls. never calling her, acting just "buddy, buddy" being annoying, haha. it just makes her more persistant on telling me how much she likes me. i want to end this without hurting her...sitting down & talking to her saying i don't want to date anymore...would hurt her.

if you love someone and want a future with them, but they occassionally do things that result in you doubting yourself and feeling lonely and low(even if they dont intentionally mean to do it),is it worth working through or should you just call it a day?

we were very close friends who did everything together like bestfriends, that's how i saw our relationship. But he liked me as in more than bestfriends. I knew that but I did'nt see him in that way. I'm in a relationship, we've been together for about nine months. Right now, I am not sure if being in a relationship is the right thing for me. I feel I have some other issues I need to work on, dealing with the deaths of two close people and other personal issues. Is it a bad thing to take a break and deal with these issues and once they've been dealt with, possibly continue our relationship? Or am I just better off breaking up and ending it. My idea for the break is to set a 3-4 month time limit and once that time is up, sit down with each other and see if we can make our relationship work or not. I have no intention to go out and date, I specifically need some "me" time. Please give me some advice/opinions.

Me and my girlfriend have been together for three years, our relationship has been based on stricktly love. Now we're ready to have sex. Im a virgin and we've tried like 8 times to have sex. I get aroused all the time around her but when we're both hot and heavy and clothes come off, and its about to happen, I get nervous and I go limp. Can someone tell me why this keeps happening? My gf recently told me she is 4 years older than I thought she was (42 not 38, me 37). I had to pull the truth out of her about this by confronting her about it. She cried about it and said she did it because I had said I wouldnt want to be with someone several years older than me (ok, maybe that impression came out). We became close&she says she never corrected her age because she was afraid to lose me. I believe this and know she loves me very much but this lie is so heavy on my heart. I asked her if she had more lies about herself she needed to tell me and she says she has an older brother and 2 older sisters. Huh? She had always told me she was the eldest! Turns out her older brother was abusive toward her and family, one older sister is a drug addict and the other wasted her time in school(like that's a reason to deny her existence). She says she doesn't consider them family so she made up these lies? Is the woman I fell in love with a pathological liar or just weak in character?

Hello,

I am in grave need of help (hence the name)!!! I would love to give a friend of mine a great present for the new year. She is Hindu, and this is an aspect of her life I would like to touch in giving her a gift. I have very strong feelings for her and would LOVE to touch her heart with this. The only problem is I'm clueless and frustrated! I've lost sleep over this and thought I would take it to the wonderful world of the web! jason and i have been talking and we liked eachother. but i started really liking his friend brian. i told the truth and told brian i like him. i shouldn't have told him because it was way too early. but he said lets get to know eachother better but after a couple of days i told him lets just be friends because i thought i was going to get hurt. he called me when he got back from florida and asked if i can come out but i already had plans for that day. how can we get to know eachother better if we barely call eachother or hang out? could it be that he is testing me by keeping a distance because he thinks he might end up like his friend jason? or am i just wasting my time?

My best friend’s older brother is 19, and I am 17. He is still living at home since he goes to community college, and works close by his parent’s house.

He’s not real open about girls he likes, and is really into video games, cars, and stuff like that so he doesn’t really spend much time with girls other than when I’m over, or when his sister’s other friends are over.

He kind of seems to like me; he shows off a lot when I’m around, and sometimes teases me or smiles at me. But I can’t tell if he just thinks of me as a little sister.

I’m going to be over at their house tomorrow doing homework, what are some things I could say to get an idea of how he feels?
