My boyfriend and I are having a baby, he cheated on me last weekend. Honestly I am tired of people telling me he is a bad person, because he's not, he made a bad decision and I know its due to his Bipolar disorder. He is unwilling to go to counseling for us to work things out, he tells me he doesnt want to hurt me anymore. I don't understand how someone could pass up a chance to fix things and make things right for his baby that is coming. He grew up in a broken home so he knows the pain of separation, my family is totally supportive of him and knows he is a good person too. Why and How can someone pass up a new chance for life?

So, I had been dating my boyfriend for 2.5 years, since I was 18. We recently broke up, due to my own jealousy. He had been going out with other guys and would not answer my calls when I called, saying he'd rather talk in private. I was hurt by this, added to the fact he turned his phone off on me, and I left him a voicemail ending it. Honestly, did I think it would *really* be the end? No. I thought he'd wake up to see that I was hurt.
Since I saw what I did was wrong, I've apologized. I've driven home (i live at a university 2 hours away) and tried to make it up to him. He tells me he still loves me, and is extremely hurt that I'm hurt, but he just doesn't feel the same anymore.
Last night, I spent the night at his house. we were laying in bed, and I thought he made progress. But he tells me he just doesn't feel that "flutter" anymore. It kills me inside. I was not talking to him for a while -- he contacts me. All I want is us to be able to work through this...

I still enjoy hanging out with him, am still attracted to him physically aswell as for his intelligence, patience, understanding, passion about work, generosity, humour etc etc....The first 3 months were out of this world. Infatuation was GREAT! I KNEW he was the one for me up until about 2 months where I got this thought "What if I dont love him anymore"? So all together we have been together for 6 months and I have my share of doubts.

But I dont feel "in love" with him.

I was sooooo in love and PASSIONATE with my ex but he abused me both physically and emotionally and all our relationship was based on dis-trust, jealousy, hate and the occasional bout of EXTREME love. I thought I was over him when I got into this relationship but my thoughts prove otherwise. I think about him often and I wish I could just get him out of my mind....Its been over a year since we have been together and I miss some of the special times.

I dont have those same feelings for my current boyfriend. My feelings are kinda neutral, I enjoy him but at the same time feel as though there is something missing in my what is known as "normal, trustworthy and no-jealousy relationship"

Any suggestions as to what I should do?

Have I fallen out of love or am I just commitment phobic...am I still in love with my ex, do I have to break up with him?

I have been living with my g/f of six months, and i love her to death. I just can't seem to get along with her teenager kids. We (me and her) haven't had a cross word between us. It seems like a competition for her attention. When i call her from work, she's home with all three kids, they keep interupting us instead of waiting. She kind of seems to defend them. The oldest (16) is a real mommy's boy, I have the most trouble with him. If i nap on the couch, he throws books to wake me. His mother payed $75 to deliver divorce papers to her ex through a servicer, twenty minutes later the kid makes her drive to his place to pick up his "Ipod". They all visit thier Dad every two weeks. He dosen't seem to give a crap. I don't have my own kids, and i am lost. please help?

My g/f and I broke up a little while back. I haven't seen her in about 3 months and had last contact with her about 2 months ago. When we first broke up I didn't mind that we were not talking. But on NYE after midnight I called her and left a message. A day later she emailed me and told me that it was indeed over. A week went by and I was just so depressed that I tried again to see if we can make it work. She said we can't. She wasn't mean about it and for that I am thankful. I respected her wishes and I have not talked or written to her since. And trust me it's been HARD not too. Anyway she was always trying to control EVERYTHING I wanted to do. I liked to play with this sports team once every few months, only a few hours on one day every few months and she would call me evil for leaving her to do it. I could understand if I did it every week, but once for a couple hours every few months isn't asking a lot to spend a few hours without her. She would also tell me that

When people get involved in a relationship, both partners often make compromises to please the other person. However, when does it go from changing small things for the one you love to changing your fundamental core character? I personally wouldn't mind making ajustments in a relationship but some things I couldn't see myself changing about myself, they are just too integral to my personality. I couldn't change those traits and still be true to myself. I suppose it requires finding the balance between compromising for the one you love and still retaining your honest inner identitiy at the same time. What do you think?

be 17 next week and the "baby" will be 15 in June. This intimidates me because I am only 10 years older than the oldest and 12 years older than the baby. While it should be easy for me to relate to them because we are somewhat close in age, I don't know how to prepare myself for their reactions or the treatment I might receive. Right now I know it is not about me it is about the reunion of the kids and there Dad, but how do I fit myself in and include myself without being the evil stepmother?

He was one of my colleagues. I never thought he could have been interested in me as I wasn’t interested in him. Besides, he had a relationship at that time. And I’ve never dated guys who are not free. I realized he wanted us to be more than friends when he approached me with a kiss. I was very surprised, b/c I wasn’t expecting to it. He said that he was sorry and didn’t want to offend me, but he had been in love with me for a year or so, and wanted me to know it. Then I asked him about his gf and he said it was nothing serious between them, he only wanted to help her get over her illness and then break up with her. I told him that we could not be together as long as he is ‘taken’. And I started dating other men. He showed me that this bothered him, even though he didn't mention a word about it. After a while I left that job and ever since we’ve dated only several times and he told me that he broke up of her. But he didn't mention anything about us.
Was this love or just infatuation?
