of course!! no matter how tired you are, your child needs to come first... and don't you want to check on him/her? how can you make it sound like an obligation?

I would check on the child in the hospital. I had two kids, two years apart. One was in the hospital and the other had chicken pox at home. Unless your doctor says you may cause a risk to your child in the hospital by carrying whatever your other child has, you should see your 2yr old at least for a few minutes. I know what tired is, I am not unsympathetic, but sometimes you just have to push yourself for your children. Good luck!

If possible, sure at least for a little while, depends on what is wrong with the one child in the hospital and if I had to take the other child there or if somebody could watch them briefly.I would not want one child catching what the other one had, now if they wouldn't catch anything, still, sure would.

Is the other child at home. If so, then no, if my significant other was staying at home with the other child or vise versa, I would just expect a phone call from either end to suffice. Who would expect you to go to the hospital when you have an ill child at home? That just makes no sense. Just because you don't make an appearance does that make you an unconcerned parent? No, it makes you responsible to stay at home with the other child.
But if they were both in the hospital, I suggest you get some rest and then head on over there. Otherwise you just look bad.

Get a Red Bull at the gas station and tough it out.
I thought black men were tougher than white men?
