Ok. I will give in to "gender based roles", as long as it is a fair thing.

I am a newlywed, so this is a bit new to me. My wife expects me to spend 3 to 5 hours a week taking care of the yard and maintaining the outdoor stuff because she says that she can't do it, and she basically refuses to learn.

So is it sexist of me to demand that she do the dishes? She had me put up all of the Christmas lights outside, which was an all day thing. Can I ask her to put up the entire Christmas tree?

It seems that, in the younger generation, women are wanting equality in marriage (which is great and I am all for), but they are still wanting their men to do all of the "manly things", but they will get pissed if you asked them to do the vacuuming.

What is fair here? Why do I have to put out more work. We don't have kids. But I do half of the indoor chores as well as all of the outdoor chores.

All right... I've been able to answer plenty of relationship questions, and this one has me at a stand still. I need a little advice.

There's a guy at the local grocery store who gives me special treatment, compliments, BIG FLIRTY SMILES, etc... He looks about 22 years old, I'm 29. He has seen me with my stepkids, and is still very very VERY nice to me. I don't see him doing this with anyone else, ever. He has never seen my "save the world-bruce willis/mark whalberg-looking fiance." I feel like he's trying to work up the nerve to ask me out or something. I'm afraid to look at him now because I don't want to give him the impression that I'm interested in him. I walk away more quickly than I would naturally because I don't want to help create any uncomfortable situations. I guess you could say that I'm afraid of infidelity so much that merely the suggested presence of it unnerves me. What should I do next time I'm buying meat, and this guy is smiling at me while he is working?

My 19 year old nephew moved in with me recently and I don't think I've ever met a messier individual. He will actually leave bowls of food in his room or in the livingroom until someone (usually me) asks him to pick it up (usually twice!)
How do I get him to keep our home cleaner than that?

I'm confused as hell.

So theres this girl at my school who has been saying hi to me, and I just said hi back. She's either being friendly, she likes me, or shes making a joke out of me. She started telling me to say things in front of her friends (not perverted, she thinks i sound like a person she knows). I dont like her, but I wasn't dissing her. Lately, she has been talking to others near me, and not saying hi (deliberately, im not being paranoid, I move, she moves). What is she trying to say, and what should I do. I dont want any stupid 2-week relationship, but being friends would be nice.

A lot of adults think we are kids and we dont know what love is she is only 11 and im 14...When she was in 2nd grade she got raped and ever since,some things heve been happening in her life that no one would want to happen to them.She called me this morning and told me that it was over because she needed some time because she was going thrue a lot but i asked her if there is hope that we would get back and she said most likely not but she still loves me a lot.I have never loved anyone like I love her she is the perfect match for me and I beaged and cried all day to her by phone so she would get back with me.I thought about suicide but I realized that if I did it, I would never have a chance to be with her and im still here.She is the love of my life and im loosing her.im not like most guys that they are after 1 thing and one thing only witch is of cource...Guess? yeah you guessed it Sex,I dont think of her like that ever i swear.People please tell me what to do to get her back.Please!!

i went to the rollar rink todaty with the whole middleschool and i encouraged erik(who couldnt skate very well)to come out and skate i tought him how to skate better while we were out there and i then told him he could skate good so he could go with his friends he did really good and then a girl came over to flirt with him and her skate hit his and he fell and broke his wrist i feel so bad plus i have a huge crush on him will he ever like me if i was my fault he got hurt i feel so bad

I'll start, I'm Kallie from Louisiana. I'm married and I have 2.5 kids, a son who is 3, a daughter who is 16 months, and one due in May. Right now I'm painting a picture for my daughter's room, it's a big pretty flower. I don't paint that much, but when I do it's pretty good. I'm a stay at home mom. My husband is so close to graduating college, but decided to take a semester off. And I'm a nosy insomniac. Please entertain me!

I always wondered if there was a body really in the casket after the fact we lost someone close to us.i mean we see them for the wake lying there...but for the funeral you see them less the 10mins head out to the funeral and after the ceromony they close it...well, have you ever thought bout payin alot of money for the casket and never rele knowning if its some kind of scam of a person rele being in there.I dunno to me sometimes it feels like im being used for the cash money once we leave do they take out the bodies before putting them in the ground?

my boyfriend and I have been together for a year and we live together. I belive in a man being a provider but at the same time we are partners so we help each other. From day one , he made it very clear that anything that involves money should be split 50/50 , even dinner . I did not like the idea I agreed. I am a giving person and at times I will do something and handle the entire cost.He has a crappy car so we use mine all the time but we split the gas 50/50.I have no problem with this or going the extra mile coz I love him. His family is coming to stay with us for holidays and I am short on my car not by $40.00. I am getting rid of my debt so I really was hoping he would be able to help me with the $40 but he told me that he cant coz he has to send his mom some money and have money for the family that is coming in. I am not saying that what he has to take care of is not important but while his family is here , my car is what we will be using. Am I wrong to feel hurt?

I know it seems kinda mean + selfish but I dunno I guess I'm just not good at dropping grudges. When I was little I spent like a whole month making them a little clay houndog and when they finally got it they didnt say thank you which I didn't really care.. but then acouple days after christmas I found it brocken and squished! wtf! How mean they should have at least tried not to break it

Well, about five years ago I had found myself in love with a close guy friend of mine. Although, it was clear he liked me too, he never asked me out. (Had the courage to.) After a few months, I had to move to another city and we lost contact ever since. Now that I am in a new city, there are tons of things that made me just move on from him. I even fell in love with another person. So just today, my friend and I decided to call friends back in our old town. Of course my cousin actually had the number of the guy I used to like. I didn't think much about stressing to call him, because I love someone else now. My cousin and I were on the phone with him and he seemed really interested to talk with me. After we hung up with him, I felt really akward. Is it possible that I still love him? I don't want to though, we are are in different cities, and I just don't want to forget about the guy I love in this town. What do I do and why do I feel this way?

Here's the thing..First of all he is 16 years older than me and I am totally in Love with him,we are expecting our first child together.But recently had a myspace account.Which includes our love life history,pictures of us.Then a few of my friends from High school happened to look me up..and I have changed alot since High school and they seemed impressed..so they talked alittle SMACK and i joked along with them..One comment was left about my ***,and The one I called my boy and ended a conversation with "your Girl" but to me being not so long ago out of high school,I didn't think anything about it and thought it was harmless.But however it turns out that he thinks I have been cheating with these guys and it has caused alot of problems.I have tried to reassure him that it wasn't meant like that,but I really don't know what else to do I deleted my account and said i wouldn't even speak to these guys again.But that isn't enough for him.I don't know what else to do?? well...today I was so happy and excited because tomorrow is my day off from everyhting!! school and work..after so much time!!! and me and my bf were planning to see each other all day!!!! but 10mins ago the good compassionate neigbor's daugther came to ask me if i could babysit her tomorrow...they are really good people and the times I've babysit her the mom paid me really good..plus she lends me college books and helps me with homeworks etc...I feel so guilty but I also want to have a little rest..what should I do? pleaseee!!!!!
