Other than sleeping till noon, shopping and talking on the phone with girlfiriends and maybe picking up kids from school, my wife doesn't do anything all day. I have a full-time live-in nanny who takes care of the kids, cooks and cleans.
My wife is 30, has a college degree, no health problems and absolutely no real reason not to work or at least not to do something at home.
Every time I try to talk about it, there are tons of excuses: she wants to be with kids, she can't work all day, it's too stressful, rush hour traffic every day, not comfortable in her field, etc., etc., etc.
How do you motivate a spouse to something productive in her life? There are many part time or volunteer positions available.

"Human women are the only female species on the planet that will procreate with a male who offers her absolutely nothing in terms of home, security, etc. Even most species of bird have enough sense to mate only with the male bird that has the nicest, roomiest nest!" (Judge Judy) Men actually diss each other for dating women who are plain looking and down right laugh at men who date plus-sized women. Women don't diss each other for dating down financially. If I date a construction worker instead of a CEO women don't laugh at me. The Question: Why is it that if a woman admits to prefering to date men with money she is verbally attacked as a "gold digger", considered to be a person of low character, a b!#ch or worse yet, if a man admits that he prefers to date women who are look like supermodels and/or have bony bodies that one can only get via an eating disorder this is considered not only an OK preference but NORMAL. Men can want supermodels but women aren't allowed to want rich guys?

Who do you think should be more of a top priority your spouse or your kids?

Your spouse is with you for life - you raise kids for like 20 years and then they make their own lives so I believe your spouse is top priority. I have asked some coworkers about this and they are blood is thicker than water. I see some women, after getting their baby out of him, literally giving the man the same status as the family pet.

What do you think?

I have been with my boyfriend for 2 and a half years.. i'm 25 and he's 27.. the problem is.. there is this 22yr old that goes to the same bar as we do. she has tryed to get in other people's relationships before and now she's tryin to get into mine. she sits there and says that if she wanted my bf then he would be with her and not me.. she thinks she can take him away from me. and that he would leave me for her.. she does nothin but sleep around, she slept with 3 different guys in a week. plus slept with a stripper while they were in our town doin there show. she'll try to run her mouth about me to my bf so we can argue. but yet she says I need to grow up and act my age.. My boyfriend has told me, his mom, and even her that he doesn't even like her like that.. just as a friend, and that he wouldn't leave me for her.. and I trust him, I know he wouldn't do anything. but I don't trust her around.. she already waits till this one guy gets drunk to take advantage. idk what to do.

I love my mom and she's great at being a mom, the only fault is that she says she's going to Alcohalers I don't know what to do anymore. Please help, but dont diss my mom.

It was in all good intentions and out of my heart that I gave my BF's sister a xmas gift last night at the family's early Christmas. However, I was personally hurt when she didn't recipocate with a gift to me or her brother. How should I handle this? Sister and Mom are tight!! So can't cause to much friction! But, I am hurt, I do like her, and it just hurts she obviously doesn't feel the same regarding me.

If you and a former friend haven't spoken in over 3 years and her parents keep sending their family christmas letters to you which says how all their lives are going great when you really couldn't care less how they are or where they are. I've tried to be nice and not mail a nasty letter to them telling how I truely feel I've even gone to the post office and had them returned to sender but they still don't get it. so I'm asking whats a nice way to make them stop sending christmas cards and letters to me so I can prepare for next year since this years has already come and was burned "accidently" of course. Oh and their entire family knows we're not speaking and the complete reasons as to why we are nolonger friends.

We just had our company Christmas party at a local resturant with a bar. Our party started at 10 am and ended at 2pm. We each got 2 drink tickets and could buy more if we wished.

This one girl showed up to work hung over and then proceeded to drink 6 drinks and 4 shots at the party. She rubbed on a palm tree like a stripper, lifted up her skirt to show off her thighs, and danced with other women really skanky. She then puked outside of the club on her co-workers feet and slept all the way back to work on the bus.

What do you think about employees like this?

I have a 4 year old daughter "Sara" who is an only grandchild. My husband and I have asked my FIL to follow certain rules that Sara lives under at home when she is with him, but he outright refuses. We expect sweets such as candy and soda to be kept to a minimum, we ask that Sara be given the same disciplinary time-outs for misbehavior that she would recieve at home and, while we understand that grandparents buy presents, we ask that it be kept to a reasonable amount. Despite making it clear that we wanted these things to be done, he continues to stuff her with candy and soda, he never gives her a time out, and buys presents every time he sees her. Three weeks ago, my husband called his Dad to talk to him about his concerns and now FIL is not talking to him and only talks to me long enough to pick up Sara. He has bad-mouthed us in front of Sara and told her we are mean for giving her time-outs and not buying her whatever she wants.

My sister is a christian, which I thought was all about love and families, but she's really gone off the deep end this time. My daughter and I have been uninvited to Christmas Dinner because my choice not to be a christian offends her.
Two weeks ago she wanted to foster my daughter because of all the evil I was inviting into my life!!???? This co-incided with her learning from another 'christian' friend that she could get an extra $150 a week for having her. She told my girl that 'mum can't look after you anymore' and even swapped bedrooms around to accomodate her.
Our parents told her to give my girl back straight away and now she hates them as well as me.
I've told her I love her and her family, and that I care about her but she won't listen - it's like she wants this to go on for ever. When I ring she just spits on about how evil I am. Should I get outside help? Talk to her pastor? Or just have our own christmas, just the two of us and my boyfriend? But its CHRISTMAS!!

Nobody likes to be criticized, of course, but there are people who are extremely sensitive to it to the point that they miss the intended message because they can't get passed being hurt by it, and telling them to grow a thicker skin makes it all the more detrimental.

People seem to be more sensitive to someone who may be allergic to certain foods or environments, but I wonder why many people don't seem to care what their words do to other people.

Do you think that we should show more consideration to those people who are sensitive to criticism than all others?

I would appreciate an answer because a couple of family relationships may be on the line over this.
