We just had our company Christmas party at a local resturant with a bar. Our party started at 10 am and ended at 2pm. We each got 2 drink tickets and could buy more if we wished.
This one girl showed up to work hung over and then proceeded to drink 6 drinks and 4 shots at the party. She rubbed on a palm tree like a stripper, lifted up her skirt to show off her thighs, and danced with other women really skanky. She then puked outside of the club on her co-workers feet and slept all the way back to work on the bus.
What do you think about employees like this?

I think its absolutely disgraceful. Did u know that the statistics for the highest amount of harrassment in the workplace is during the Christmas Holiday Season? And i totally understand why.
Because people like that workmate of yours cannot control themselves.
My boss got drunk at a Christmas Function a couple of years back and approached me afterwards (while im standing with my partner mind you) and said "Your hot and i would do you any day".
My partner didnt get angry with him, but he was disgusted. He went and got my boss's wife and told her to take him home.
I DID file a harrassment complaint against him and all he got was a slap on the wrist. I refused to work with him and he got moved to another location instead. Drinking is no excuse for stupid behaviour - if you cant handle the alcohol or you think your going to say something stupid then dont do it at all. Its not worth the trouble.

I don't think you should sweat it because of the environment you were in. However, I am NOT saying it was okay by any means. I think this is a lesson to KNOW YOUR LIMIT. It could had been worse. I would say that you were lucky that it turned into you being social and the life of the party. However, I am sure that peoples opinion of you has changed. They probably see you as the "party-person" or the person who likes to party....alot. I don't mean to be terrible, but, be careful next time. Okay? I hope this helps!! Take Care Of Yourself!

Well, I think that even if they do offer alcohol at your place of employment, you still should not grink to pure intoxication due to the fact that peoples inhibitions are lowered and caution is thrown to the wind. In other words you could likely do or say things that employers should never see, hear nor know about you. However, saying that she was acting skanky may be a bit harsh, for you may not want to be that type of person but that doesn't make her bad. She just lives a little freer, and act a bit more provocatively.

Disgusting! She obviously has some serious judgement issues. She could actually lose her job - if she worked for me I would seriously council her regarding her behavior as it was all done on company time then I would send her home for a day or so to think about it. Of course that is only after speaking with the company lawyers to see if she could sue us for allowing the atmosphere where she could embarass herself that way. I would then ask who ever in the company thought it was a good idea to have the party, with free booze no less, on company time WTF they were thinking? Not a good idea. The company could also be held liable for her safety after the party should she decide to drive or something equally idiotic.

While you can drink without getting drunk, it sounds like this girl decided to party a little too hard. At best she'll be "that girl who got drunk at the party...", at worst she could be fired for such behavior.
One place I worked at was too cheap to provide for a party and suggested we do a "pot luck". Perhaps that was best for the lack of drunk people.
Hopefully she'll learn and not do it next time...

well if it were me i would be pretty embarassed to face my coworkers when i was sober again. theres nothing wrong with having a little fun but if its still sort of an official, professional setting you should definitely set limits on yourself. you need to remain classy
