My sister and I fight constantly, we verbally abuse each other and rarely go a day without screaming at each other...I guess you can say that we know how to push each other's buttons. I would like to be her friend...but don't know what to do...help???? Does it end??? Is this normal????

Me and my sister were like that. It ended when I went to college- now we call each other constantly and are best friends pretty much. I just think you guys need a little space from each other. Like they say- absence makes the heart grow fonder ;-) You guys are just sick of each other right now :-)

Oh yes! This is perfectly normal! Growing up I adored my sister, she hated me! We are only 11 months apart and sometimes people thought we were twins, I'd beam and she'd scream! Everything I said and did was wrong and cause for a fight. It was so bad for a while, my mom took me out of our shared bedroom and moved me in with my baby brother, she was afraid my sister was going to really hurt me. And she sure might have back then! As we've gotten older we've gotten closer and closer, once she moved out (and yes it took that long) She started letting up on me some, Now we are in our 40's and we've been best friends for 25 years! We tell each other everything and spend a lot of time laughing and apologizing to each other over the silly things that seemed so important back then, and honey I remember crying on my moms shoulder more than once because I was so hurt my sister and I weren't close. Things will get better honey I promise!

This is kind of an odd question. It really..honestly depends on WHAT you are fighting about. I'm 15, and my sister is 20, and her and I fight here and there. Over the stupidest things.

It's gonna take some time. Let her get older. She needs to mature a lot more.

My sisters and I fought all the time.....then we grew up, went to college, got married and had kids.

We are now each others best friend and we recently came back from our annual "sisters weekend". No husbands and no children.

Sisters can be a pain in the butt now but they can be your best friend when you get older.

sounds like a habit. call a truce and become buddies, there will be a time when you need each other.
