My family lives about 400 miles away from my wife's sister's family. Financially, they are doing very well. We started getting together around Christmas and meeting half way between our homes. They have older children and have taken a liking to a hotel that costs $170 - $250 a room and has a big indoor water park. We have small children and want to be able to keep an eye on them in a less chaotic swimming environment. There are some very nice hotels with indoor pools and water slides that cost more around the $85-$110 range that work very well for our family. This has become a point of conflict for us. My sister-in-law thinks that we both have good jobs and should be able to afford the more expensive hotel. We've told her it's too expensive for us and doesn't meet our needs. They don't want to get together this year and cited our inflexibility as the reason. They also don't want us to stay in two different hotels and get together for dinners and such. Am I wrong?

I recently reconnected with an ex-bf from 15 years ago and we were both happy about it since we once were in love/talked marriage. A few talks later I was shocked to realize I never got over him - we now are both married w/kids. I told him how I felt-I was willing to try an affair (I know its horrible, please try not to judge) and he was not. We saw each other, discussed for closure purposes, and while I told him I don't think I can see him in person for a while we both agreed to stay in touch via email/phone. He specifically asked me to call /write. I emailed him on Monday basic/friendly/innocent. Two days later I have not heard back. I assume he is trying to cool things off/ busy with work but I can always find time to email someone back in a few days. What is going through his mind? Please no judgements, I can't feel worse about myself than I already do, but the connection we have is rare. I won't break up families but I love him and I don't want to not be friends of a sort.

I was transferred to an exclusive division of my company about 8 months ago. Everyone has worked there 10 years or more. I am feeling exploited by the woman I share an office with. She leaves EVERY day about 2-3 before the office closes. We are salaried so it doesn't affect her attendance or paycheck but it annoys me to no end. Sometimes it gets hectic and since I'm fairly new, sometimes I have to stay late to finish things that could have been done if she had been there. Our boss has apparently talked to her about it because where she was doing it every day, now she only does it when he's not around. He has made it clear that we should work out our absences between ourselves and leave him out of it. She has her kids and husband call saying they need her to come to school, etc. and leave work. We work very closely and share an office so I don't want to cause tension. How do I handle it?

I need money for personal woman items gas in my car to take children to school groceries ,clothes ect. he says he is not a bank
I work in our family buisness and do not recieve payment.
I know nothing about our income he says its better that way.
if he left it up to me we would have no money
I am tired of not being able to go anywhere but work and my kids schools because of no money
the older kids have to buy shoes clothes and mostly anything else they need from money they get helping out in the family buisness
the kids are mad at me for never having money and tell me im not a real mom because i dont have any responsabilaties like there friends moms.
There dad says i am not smart enough to handle money

I called Child abuse on my mother because she has been very very, extremely mean to me! she yells, screams, cusses,hurts, slaps, punches, kicks, pulls hair and swings you around for no reason everyday.. well everyday with the name calling but the beaiting up everynow and the happens.. well I called Child abuse, and thank God when they came she was asleep and me and my dad picked to tell her when she wakes up.. I told my dad I caled when the police came. Well when she woke up, my dad told her about it, and now she still hates me, even more this time.. After all I have been through.. I HATE HER! I can't talk to my dad about it anymore because, he pays for everythign and if he gets in a divorce with her guess what?? switch (back and forth) not that he want too.. but still I hate my mom! She hates me even more.. when I go to school in the morning tomorrow I am so scared she might stab me, I haev a feelin' I will die tomorrow. I am 11 and she wasn't even proud of my great report card..HELP!

i have a friend who i have been having sex with for about 6 months now, so far it has just been sex, and nothing else... when we both started this neither one of us wanted any type of realationship. so far it has been good! a few months ago he told me that he was thinking about asking this woman who he works with out on a date. i was fine with that, but then he asked me to come over and have one last fling with him, so i did, and we have been having sex weekly ever since this afternoon i talked to someone who i havent seen for a while, and they just happen to work with my friend. i found out that he had been try'n to date this woman but she didnt want anything to do with him, but now she is up for a promotion and admits to fellow workers that she is useing him to get the promotion. they suposeally have just kissed and not had sex. and she is telling everyone that she just wants the promotion. im just wondering if i should tell him or just keep my mouth shut and enjoy the sex???

Sometimes I wonder if we've made any progress at all.After working full-time,chauffering kids,organizing and preparing meals etc. I wonder if we've done ourselves any favours.Of course the right to choose one's course is a biggie.What do you all think?

to talk to me, that's what I get for asking q's and a's, instead of my close friends,( should I call the girl I love the most?)I know those close to me, who know what's up, would say not to call her. I knew you guys would say call her. I was healing already. One call that's all and I want to step off the rotating earth again. When she was with me, she was treated like a lady and acted like a lady. I was unaware of her other side. A bad drug problem that came along with clicked out men friends. I work all the time.Her mom told me about this over a month ago. I miss her smell and her smile and thought for a minute she may have missed me too, why can I not just let this end???
