Definately. You are not who you are without the experiences you had along the way. Good or bad. So if you are happy with who you are now than you should be happy with whatever has happened to you in your life.

Sorry but I can't agree on that one. I took some mighty wrong turns in life and though my life is ok, I sure could have done a lot better. I'm 58 years old so I've been around awhile.
Simone, Here's a quote that I do agree with. It's by Mark Twain, and he says: It's easier to stay out than to get out.
And here's another,I don't know who wrote it:
Raise your kids and spoil your grandchildren. Or spoil your kids and raise your grandchildren. Have a good one Simone!

This is similar to the quote: "When one door closes, two more open." It basically goes to show that no matter what state you are in life, YOU (and only you) can change it. It also shows that even when you make mistakes, you learn by them and become a better person.
So to all of you who think there is no hope left in your life: Don't worry! Everything will be alright in the end, and it its not alright, then its not the end!

No, I do not agree with the quote, because nobody is where they want to be if they take a wrong turn.

I dont necessarily agree with that, because wrong turns can lead you down some dark and forbidding roads. However, I can interpret it to mean, by making bad decisions you learn and grow from them, therefore it helps you to determine the right way you want to live.

interesting quote.

That's great for whoever said it and I'm sure they're very happy, but to apply this quote universally gives anyone license to make as many bad decisions as they want and still succeed (something that will never ever happen)

Yeah, now that I think about it, I am! There are certain things that I wish were different, such as having more money, etc. But when it comes right down to it, I would choose the life I have right now over a life any different, for fear that it would lessen the joy that I have now. Thanks for making me think about my life. I feel pretty happy now! :)

Yes I do. We may regret things in our lives; but the basic truth is that we are right where we should be. Call it destiny; but I believe we all have certain lessons to learn and that we need to go through certain experiences in order to accomplish this.

I have also heard, "All roads lead to where I stand."
