Friends - December 2007

Okay, this is a long story. But here goes: So my family is incredibly nosy. I mean seriously. I'm a private person. I like my social life to be private. I clash with my whole family. For example, I got a ride home with someone and my mom was waiting at the door and the minute I walked in, I got bombarded with these questions: "Who was that? Where are they from? How do you know them? What grade are they in? Are they a good driver? How long have you know them?" etc, etc, etc. Well, this really irritates me. And it's been like this for years. It's gotten so bad that six years ago was the last time I had a friend come over. Since I never had my friends come to my house, they all assumed that I didn't want to be friends anymore so they stopped talking to me. Now I have no close friends. I have a few, but none that I feel totally comfortable around. My best friend thinks I'm anti-social so she won't ever ask me to hang out with her and she doesn't invite me to be with her

my best friend got mad at me for telling her mom she was going out with a guy. she didnt even get in trouble for it. i actually helped her cuz now she doesnt have to date behind her moms back. she says i ruined her life. sometimes i think that if she said that to me tat i shouldnt be friends with her. but its been almost a month and i still cant get over it. we were BEST friends. she was really the b est friend i ever had. all the good times and jokes we had. i remember that every single day.and wat really gets to me is thatwhen i met her she was all preppy and nice and sweet and then she met my other best friend and she changed her and took her away from me. this is a relly long story if ure really interested in helping and want to hear more details, email polishxchik318@sbcglobal.net

I have a friend who had a party at his house and got alot of people drunk. (i'm not mad about this) During this party he took some pictures of another friend's arms who cuts. He posted these online. The friend who cuts is getting help and she hasn't been cutting for a long while. But the site he posted them on alot of people from her school frequent and are sure to see and find out that she was a cutter. He took them with out her knowing and posted them just to be a jerk. She doesn't know he's posted them yet and i'm afraid what the fallout will be when she does. I just need advice before i go and talk to him or her.

Ok, so there's a couple people that don't seem to get the hint that I don't want to talk to them anymore. They call but I never answer nor do I call back. Every time I see one of them in
passing I say that I'm busy with school. Most of the time, it's not a total lie...I really am busy. Sometimes. Every time that I hung out with them, it felt like there was this huge vacuum in the room and my soul was somehow being sucked out of me. We're just too different and I'm exhausted after hanging out with them.

Friendships shouldn't have to feel obligatory and like a drag...how should I tell them that I don't want to hang out anymore? Should I keep ignoring them?

Ok, don't get me wrong... There's no reason my mom shouldn't meet my best friend. He'd be the last person you'd ever suspect of doing anything illegal just because he's too cool for that. He's funny, smart, understanding-basically the perfect best friend. But, he IS a guy. And usually you don't invite a guy over for a one-on-one meeting with your parents unless you're dating him, which I'm definitely not.
Also, I suggested having a party and inviting all my friends, which didn't go over well. She wants to meet HIM.
Oh, and don't call me a slut or anything because my best friend is a guy.. I've got 3 best friends. Two are girls from my old school, and this one guy is from my new school. My mom knows my other two best friends. She loves one and thinks the other one is a bad influence (apparently-sp?-she's too emo...).

Sorry that it was so long... But for those of you that read and understood it...
What should I do??

Pretend you have been chatting with someone online for a while, possibly a few years, and you've seen them on webcam, seen pictures, talked on the phone, and you consider this person to be one of your best friends or potential lover, but you find out right before you go to meet them, that the person is in lets say, a wheelchair, or is overweight, or some other flaw that you didn't know about, would you still meet that person?




(Also, the person didn't lie to you about being overweight or any of the above...it just never came up in conversation.)

I mean, haven't you all dreamed about having one ideal person for you, who'd have all the characteristic marks that you have and are exactly like you? Even if you got plenty of chums haven't you ever wanted to meet someone like that?
I for example have some guys I like whom I could call friends and so, but not exactly best and ideal and actually they're so different than me that I sometimes wonder how can we even get along..I realy have a dream to find ideal friend who would be just like me, so I was thinking maybe some of you was thinking about this too and I wanted to know what do you think about finding your best friend in internet, I mean, internet is accessible for almost everyone on the earth and even if you seem very weird and so different from everybody, I think anyway there should be someone exactly like you somewhere on this earth, and you can find em trough net? what d'ya think?
p.s-maybe this is weird Q, but I suddenly got urg to ask this, so it couldn't be helped.. ^^

Ok, so this is what I am getting my boyfriend for Christmas.

4 bandanas, Blue, red, white, black

A chain

A hat (That says LA on it)

And cologne

Well today my best friend came up to me and said that she was getting my boyfriend cologne and an expensive watch. (Her sister works at a pawn shop and her mom will buy her anything.) So she gave me this cologne sample called Usher and said it was what she was going to get him. It smells SO good. I dont want to copy her so I need advice on a good cologne that smells REALLY good that isnt THAT strong. Its for a 14 year old. Then I need help finding a cheap real chain (silver or gold) that is pretty cheap. Then I need help finding a hat that I think that he will like that says LA on it. Can any of you help? Links are appreciated. Also, if you have any other advice on anything else affordable to buy it would be appreciated. Thankyou!

ok dont ask why i did any of this but i did and i need help. i told a former teacher of mine (who calls me her daughter) all this stuff about my best friend (who the teacher also calls her daughter) and it is getting way out of hand. at first i told her that the girl was hiding from her and said that she was going 2 kill herself and stuff and now i told the teacher that the girl said she hated her and me and stuff and the teacher has been calling this girl's parents and stuff and i cant tell the teacher that i lied 2 her. please help me get out of this and dont say that its my fault because i know that. help! p.s. the teacher has threatened 2 call the police and stuff of what i said the girl said and because of harrassment. (with the girl, the teacher loves me right now)

I have a friend that has just recently came out to me about having 30 different personalities inside him, all to which I have never seen til last week when he asked me if I would like to meet one of my personalities < or mortals I think is what he called them> and I wasnt sure and decided to meet this person. He said that it would be a little boy name shane. So next thing I know this little boy voice in his manly body was talking to me as if he was a young boy. I didnt know how to deal with this except to just ask him questions. My question here today is I dont know if I am suppose to run or accept that my friend can change into all these different people at the drop of a hat. I thought from what I have heard when someone has this condition they never know when it is going to come around, its always a suprise. He is seeking help but Im not sure why they are doing to help him. Does anyone have any advise on how to address this or handle this?

You went to several parties, such as, pampered chef, scrapbook, and home interior parties of a friend of yours and you spent ALOT of money, especially at the scrapbook party and then you had 1 signature home party and that friend didnt come to yours and gave you a lame excuse about not coming? Would you just ignore it or would you let them know how you feel? Do I have a right to feel used or am I being petty?

basically i have made a new years resolution to get over this guy ive been miserable over for long time, i kept the misery alive by having him on my bebo and myspace and daily checking his profile also waiting on i.m to see if he will talk to me he hasn't spoke to me for 2 months. we have quite a history i was the only one there 4 him through a hard time and basically got him throught it.i love him im sure and want him, but he acts like i don't exist now, so dissinterested in me. only talks to me when he has a problem or bored i think. ive tried asking for an straight answer, never got one, tried tellin him how i feel. also i have a mate if his on my i.m do i block both of them?? coz he will find out i am actually online if i still speak to his mate....i don't know, i just want my heart and self esteem to heal and get a good nites sleep. i feel he was the one for me, but he has ruined it. do i tell himim goin or let him realise it over time....prob about a year i bet?

1) I am a Christain who is now friends with a girl who is Jewish.
I was heading home with my friend after volleyball practice. We were just having a good time when a couple of other girls walking in front of us turned around and spat "Jew!" and a couple other names at my friend. These girls are on the volleyball team too and have been avoiding me ever since I've hung out with this new girl. I didn't really pay attention to it though. I never knew that she was Jewish, not that it matters. Anyway, I was shocked. I have a temper but I'm not one to act it out, so it surprised the girl (who called my friend that) when I punched her. It surprised me too but I was pissed. My friend was on the verge of tears and I was frick'n pissed. What right did they have to say that? None! I thought we were over the who's who and who's what. Now, out of curiosity, how do you think I handled the situation? I probably could have done it better but I will never regret what I did.what the world has come to?

I have always been a successfull person who has a lot of friends and influence. I have used my influence to help friends when they are in need. Like giving them jobs or even taking them in when things weren't going so well for them. Now the shoes on the other foot and things aren't going so great for me. I'm still doing OK but none of my friends who are all doing great seem to want anything to do with me. They are aware of my situation and I'm not looking for anything just a phone call and maybe grab a beer or lunch with them. My father says that's how life is but is that just a pessimistic outlook?
