I have been having trouble lately and it's been troubling me for quite some time (3 years) .. Whenever I speak I tend to pause for a few seconds and speak 5-10 words and pause again, it'll happen to me even if i'm nervous or not. I have a presentation to make in front of the class in 2 days and I'm afraid it'll happen to me again. I have asked many people and they always tell me to relax or breathe normally, I tried doing both of them but it never helped .. so does anyone know why I am pausing so much ? and does anyone know how I can fix this situation?

my best friend's dad died this morning. i have already been over to her house and hung out with her and talked with her about it. i really want to get her something, just a little something to make her a little less sad, even though thats probably not possible. but what should i get her? flowers? bake her a cake? any ideas?

Ok my mom and my cousin mom was recentley in a fight my cousin jordan is kinda weired and VERY popular like everyone wants to be related to him and lucky me (not) I get him. But any ways we were talking about him not in a bad way and I said o ya he is my cousin. No one belived me so they asked him guess what my cousin said!!! He said he was not related to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This got me so mad!!! what should I do next time he does something like this?

me and my friend both like the same boy.don't get me wrong she's very pretty and smart but i just don't think that he likes her back.he told me that he likes me.so i don't know how to break it to her,she is the type of person that will take her anger out on me if i tell her!what should i do?

Why does it seem like I don't have any friends? Sure, I might talk to people at school and laugh with others sometimes, but I don't spend any time with anyone and I can't tell if people have in interest in me and who I am or not. I spend a lot of time trying to figure out what people mean when they say things to me, and it really confuses me to try to figure out what others want from me in our conversations. Are they being polite? Do they like me? Do they want to be my friend? Do they think I'm weird? Would they want to get to know me? Are they making fun of me? Why can't I tell these things and how can I find out? And don't be one of those people who answers 'awww, well I'm you're friend.' I'm not talking fake pity stuff like that, I mean REAL, true blue, there-for-you-when-you-need-them, best, close friends.

well i ll tell u wat i like laughing,having fun,studying and be friendly most of the times,and becoze i ve got lots of foreign friends i kinda act like them,but in my country they dont like these kind of ppl(funny ppl)and they think that i am stupid.also they have kinda (narrow minded)so how can i tell them that sometimes by anderstanding other cultures u can make ur life better and we shouldnt reject every foreign thing!!

there's this guy nick. once i told him that jen my friend likes him . he's like " i dont care" and then he's like "i hope you dont like me , do you?" i said "what do you think" he's like "i dont know" and then i said" no i dont like you" and then he started talking about homework!!! what does this mean?? this guy nick is my friend and he flirts with me many a times too but after this incident he's stopped flirting that much !! will he ever ask me out or just destroyed that possibility . what should i do now ??

I'm a 20 yr old male that has never smoked, consumed any alcohol, never had a girlfriend, and have never even kissed a girl. My slightly younger brother is the same way, except he has never cursed in his life (I rarely do). We both have extremely strong consciences for some reason and there is just no way of shaking that off. It has nothing to do w/ being religious because we are both atheists. I'm thinking it's bad to the point where I need help, but I don't know. Are there any actual benefits to being prude or am I just stuck being a freak?

I called my friend to hang out, and he said he's going to some party but won't let me come along because he doesn't want to show up with guys...he invited this girl he knows and her 2 friends are coming along too, and I guess he wants to look cool or something by showing up with girls...His friend likes me too so I want to go hang out with her but I can't because my friend didn't invite me...And I told him, "it's not like you're going to hook up with any of them anyways." was that too mean? He drove me to say it because he wouldn't invite me! >=|
So now I'm stuck at home studying for my finals because I don't know anything else going on...I feel like a loser!

Their names are ana, brian, markie, and alicia. they all go to the same school and i feel like that sometimes they dont even care about me. i hardly get to see them and they always do stuff together. they never ask me to come with them to the mall or movies. i even sometimes cry myself to sleep.

Ok well first off me and my sister was really close, like super super close! I made the mistake to sneak behide her back and Date her friend, they wasnt very close but they was friends! Her friend/ my boyfriend is a little older than me therefore we wasnt suppose to be together anyway but me and him, we love each so much! But she got all mad and upset about it, when my mom told her about me and him! My mom found out by someone at school! So this is all crazy! But my point is i said i was sorry for everything i tried making things better, but she keeps finding out about more stuff that i had to lie about to be with him! She has all the right to be upset but theres a piont where you just need to drop it and put it in the past and just move on even if you find out more! I feel bad about all of it , i know i hurt her,I just dont know what to do or say to her! I mean you do crazy things when your in love, you also cant help who you love either! Please give me some advice, thanks!

I recently within the last month got in big trouble with the law im not saying how because i dont want people to judge because it was just some mistake that a 15 year old girl made. But my friends like my 3 best friends kinda just stopped hanging out with me since im on probation and i have a strict cerfew and such. This past summer we were like the 4 together we would do everything you would never see us alone. We hung out everyday and always partied together and such. This summer was a blast. Now they go to a different school then me so i never see them. But i feel like i dont have a life and that im just a looser because i dont do anything on the weekends anymore most people know me as the girl who is always with someone and now lately im not like that. So i guess im asking am i a looser because i dont hang out and party with people on the weekends? Or am i just worring too much. Im still really social at school just my grade im not very good friends with so im not close with them.

Ok, so this is a long story but I'll try to make it short (btw, we're both 15). This is how it started: one of my friends was talking for this guy for some while, and led him on that she wanted to date him. They both went to a party, and instead of hanging out with him, she went with 2 other guys, one being she just met and the other her ex, and she said that she almost kissed them both. Then she leads the guy she just met on, and a week later she got back together with her ex. They stayed together for a week cuz she met another guy and a couple days after they broke up she's dating the other guy (sorry it's prolly confusing without any names).
But to me this just seems wrong, I mean she's just going from one guy to another so fast (all this happened within about 1 month). Am I being just paranoid or something, or if not should I say something to her?

Highschool is full of DRAMA. My friend S takes things out of proportion. One day we were on the phone and she was telling me all of this stuff about how J is such a ho and telling me a lot of sexual things that she has done. And on top of that, S was doing sexual things with the guys that J had a claim on. She said that she didnt care about J and that she was doing that to get back at her for all of the drama that J put us through and that she didnt like or care about her.I basically told her that she was being fake because she would be telling me all of this stuff about her but then get on Facebook threads and tell her that she needs to raise her standards. She didnt like how I was being blunt and honest basically, so she started some stuff that was really stupid but it escalated and it has been two months and S and J are the best of friends. We dont talk to each other anymore. They have got a lot of people against me and it has gone as far as this guy posting embarassing stuff online

My male friends are always flirting with me. They would pull me to their sides, or put me on their laps. Does this mean that they are really friendly with me, or do they want to try and get with me? They would rub my shoulders or run their fingers along my back. We are good friends and have been for a long time. This happens between me and about 4 guys and i'm not the one starting the flirting though and I don't really respond back to their touches.
